How do we calculate Normalized Score? Also I agree with other commenters, this was my childhood

The normalised score is just the standard score of an athlete's points. It's calculated as follows: Z = (x - m) / s where Z is the standard score of athlete, x is the points of athlete, m is the mean of all points, and s is the standard deviation of all points (I used population standard deviation, not sample standard deviation). There is plenty of information online if you need help regarding that formula (such as calculating the standard deviation).

Glad you're enjoying it! To calculate the chances of elimination, I use a script that runs a few million simulations for placings in the next event (Monte Carlo method). Here is the script I use (it's written in Rust): github.com/LucidSigma/ChanceOfElimination I also have an old one written in Processing 3 that I used for my Algicosathlon here: pastebin.com/7pTjuPY1 I believe there is a video tutorial made for this one by someone else on KZbin somewhere.

@@VanhmictAnimate To get an athlete's placement percentage for a single day it's simply: Placement percentage = 1 - ((Athlete's placement - 1) / (Total number of athletes in the event - 1)) This is basically the percentage of athletes that the athlete in question did better than in the day. For example, if an athlete placed 4th out of 15, the placement percentage for that day would be: Placement percentage = 1 - ((4 - 1) / (15 - 1)) Placement percentage = 1 - (3 / 14) Placement percentage = 1 - 0.2142857... Placement percentage = 0.785714... = 78.6% So, in other words, the athlete did better than 78.6% of athletes on that day. The average placement percentage is simply the mean (average) of all of an athlete's placement percentages for each day.
