Sacha started off on the 11 o'clock show in 1998 as a 5 min clip. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5ekloqAntCUf7s. Here is one of the original episodes. Strangely enough, Ricky Gervais started on the same show but he didn't have any success with it. If you want to look up good Ali g and borat clips, try to find ones from 2000-2007. Ali g UK versions are usually a bit better imo, unless its the debate ones. the Tony Benn interview is decent. Also the Pat Buchanan one or borat buying a house.
