i saw alice in chicago earlier this year and i had the time of my life. she was a light in my life at a time of darkness dealing with ptsd from an emotionally, mentally, and sexually abusive relationship i got out of a year ago. i related so much to alices story and music. at the concert i was lucky enough to get front row, and i brought a marker in case she was gonna sign anything. at one point she got on top of the barrier right in front of me and i brought out the marker and stretched out my arm to her asking her to sign my wrist. i had recent scabs from self harming but i didnt think of it at the time. but she looked, grabbed my arm and paused for a second looking at my wrist and i felt a connection. she took the marker out of my hand and signed right past the cuts i had. it was such an amazing moment and at that time i felt like she cared about me and didnt want me to harm myself anymore. and i havent once since then.

I saw Alice in London a year ago, I was practically in the front row, in a moment she extended his arm for the people, in that moment I touch his hand, and then gently up near the soulder, I moved my fingers feeling his skin... It was one of the best moments of my life. I love her so much.

I love Crystal Castles but there's no fucking reason to defend an abuser , and honestly, I prefer to see her now, physichally and mentally healthier , without all that toxicity in her life. This is by far my favourite track from Alice's solo stuff. It's about her experience with self harm, about hurting yourself to take control the aspects of your life that you feel have spiralled out control. I feel like this song is so personal for her and its really hurtful as a supporter of Alice to see people commenting on this video calling it a cliche, boring, "not edgy" enough ect. Yes were all here because we discovered Alice Glass many years ago as a part of Crystal Castles, but as we all know the truth about that time of her life, I think we should embrace her new work, especially this track, as it's a total raw version of Alice and she has complete control over her music and art now. Love you Alice!

Hello from 5 years in the future, I just wanna pop in to mention that I just discovered Alice's music on my own completely separated from any Crystal Castles connection. I'd never even heard of Crystal Castles before googling her and finding out she had a career before this solo act. Shit definitely hits different after learning about her history. But putting that aside I'm happy to inform you that she's gathered at least a few new fans (myself included) who learn about Crystal Castles only after falling in love with her music. That seems like a thing worth celebrating :)

I really want to like this because I support alice, but even after listening many times I don’t seem to find anything interesting in the song :(. The video was cool but a little cliche too I think (the goth girl with skull, knives, church and hearse) but Violet was a really good character. (I liked that it showed variety of characters, with different customes and make up!) to my taste, this sounds very pop and soft, doesnt leaves a strong impression. I personally dont like it but Im sure there are many that do. I will continue to support Alice and look forward to her development 💖
