One thing you can say, no one, I mean no one, has this unique AURAL vibe. In a massive sea of faceless bands who sound like a stew of a half dozen other bands, AIC stands out. You guys should be proud.

You know the instant an Alice song begins. Whether old or new, you always know. Can't say that about many artists. Great quality because it means above all else, you've remained true to yourself.

AIC continues to impress. They always have their own sound, but don't rehash the same album every couple of years.
@acewatson61616 жыл бұрын
Slightly different sound, but I'm really digging it You see the problem with bands that have lasted about 30 years or so, now a days they try changing their sound, and end up changing it too much, to where u don't notice the originality, but alice in chains, has always kept this constant, harmonizing, dark, kinda sound, i don't like to say they changed, though they have. I like to think of it more of evolving This band has been my favorite since day one, and always will be, I have never been disappointed in their work I expect a great album soon😌

I like how William is the main voice here... maybe he is getting more credit in this album?
@RafaelGrossl6 жыл бұрын
Actually, William wrote this song and recorded the solo. He is the f.cking dude.
Nicolás Riveros William has already done a few songs on lead vocals and guitar. Last of My Kind is him on lead vocals and Phantom Limb is his song. He sings lead and plays the solo on Phantom Limb. There are a few other songs with him prominently on lead but majority is him and Jerry harmonizing.

To all comments concerning William. Jerry said himself recently this is a dual vocal band. William is great. Even if Layne were here today, this would be a dual vocal band with Layne and Jerry. William carries the AIC torch very well without trying to replace Layne. He fills his own shoes and does a good job at doing so. Quit trying to live in the AIC of yesteryear. Appreciate the new AIC as they have become, heavier, but more textured and mature sounds. In my opinion, the last 2 albums were some of there best work yet, and many agree. We'll see how this one shakes out. So far with the first two releases, it's OK, and very signature AIC. Nothing groundbreaking yet, but I'm waiting for the rest of the album before I pass any judgement.

This is this albums "Head creeps". On that album it was the only song that Staley wrote everything for. On this album it is the only song that Duvall wrote everything for. Funny too that both songs are dark af and kick ass.
