When I first saw this video in MTV at age 19 I was frightened/scared by the video. I said to my self "what the heck is this?" @@Donjonneau that's a bit rosey. It's not a happy song by any means. It's a confrontation with death and the finality. And it's blunt. Given what the guys were doing to themselves at this time, and where Layne would ultimately end up, it's a grim and prophetic song. But very powerful.
