Field Pack Features
- 2300 cubic inch capacity.
- Water resistant heavy duty nylon fabric.
- Gear pouch with drawstring within Large Main Compartment.
- Hidden map compartment in the flap.
- Three easily accessible exterior cargo pockets.
- All pockets and main compartment equipped with metal drain holes at bottom.
- Two inch nylon webbing sewn around top of bag.
- Both upper sides have metal grommets for attaching additional gear on outside of pack.
- Two strap top flap with metal cinch/release.
- Will hold upwards of 50 lbs of gear and food.
- Measures 20" long and 19" wide.
Frame Features
- Heavy duty and lightweight aluminum frame.
- Equipped with kidney pad, quick release waist belt, and quick release padded shoulder straps.
- Frame fits Medium and Large ALICE Field Packs.
- 1 5/8" waist belt fits up to 48" waist.

Thanks for the tutorial I had to take apart a old field pack my dad had laying around to wash it got a little lost putting it back together.. A mousey decided to get in it and eat the peanut butter from one of the MRE s that was stored in it 😋 and was super dusty from sitting in the garage thanks God bless ❤

You do not want to (tighten) the bag keepers to the Frame until after you have packed the bag. You will rob yourself of space if done this way. Just loosely attach the bag to the frame first then pack, then tighten. Also adjustable straps should come around the O ring towards the top of frame not the bottom. Don't mean to sound critical just better ways to attach the LC-2 equipment to the frame. Training on how to use the LC1 and LC2 systems varied throughout different services, units and such. There is really no wrong way...but there are better ways. Insanely good equipment you have there. Hard to come by the real thing in that condition. I own 4 complete ALICE rucks and none of them are that nice.

Yeah, right now it’s really difficult to find one, most surplus shops now disassemble alice packs and sell the parts (pack, frame, straps, kidney pads) separately. I can recommend some shops on ebay but prices of complete packs have gone up significantly.
