wow, I have just discovered this incredible lady. I will be reading her books and passinng on her wisdom. I must say, she not only has a beautiful mind, she also looks so beautiful at nearly 91. She is like a delicate rose, and such a role model for women! When women find gems like this, they show us another way of living, they show us that we can be happy with who we are, that we are special and unique and that we do not need to diet, be slaves to the fashion machine, ruin ourselves with plastic surgery. After listening to this lady I looked at myself in the mirror and thought - I love myself as I have been made, and I am no longer afraid to grow old.

I love how she explains this great dignity of woman: when God touches the pregnant woman's body holding the fertilized egg, He creates "ex nihilo" a soul for that fertilized egg; and what God touches is therefore sacred.

Who better to learn from than those who have lived longest, experienced the most and gleaned wisdom to impart upon the younger generations!? We need to honor our more senior aged citizens again! I hope she is still living on Earth but what a treasure of wisdom this is.

I am very moved by everything Dame Alice says about love, sexuality and matrimony. It's very beautiful and I hope and pray that the Committee about The family this year will hear and digest and put forward what she says because it really seems to me she says exactly what Our Lord would say. Wish I'd heard it years ago! God bless her and her husband RIP whose book Transformation in Christ is life-changing.

There is no reason to not let this woman speak for 3 hours. I would certainly listen that long!

All obvious comments aside on how wonderful this interview was, and of course it would be with Mrs. Von Hildebrand, I would just like to give the sound tech praise for what they did considering what they had to work with. Mrs. Von Hildebrand was very clear and understandable despite the interference of her necklace and fabric. Socrates In The City should not underestimate the skill of their sound tech. Well done! With that stated, thank you so much for posting and sharing this. I love the wisdom of the Von Hildebrands. This needs to be shared, young people need to hear these truths.

A beautiful woman. Perhaps the most beautiful women alive. In our age the mind is darkened to be unable to see what real beauty is. Mrs von Hildebrand is the last vestige of something wonderful that we are on the cusp of losing forever. Who will be Alice von Hildebrand when she is gone?

It is a joy to do yet another search on "Alice von Hildebrand" and find a new video that instructs and inspires. Thank you for this contribution from a woman who is so brilliant and so wise. However, it is not clear that the comedy routine contributed anything..

I definitely want to read her and her husband's books. This was fascinating, and sad, because I see how much we have lost as a culture, and also, how men and women could be together. Also, her personality is totally different, but she reminds me of a close friend I had who has now passed on. She too, left Europe during the time of the Nazis (she was German, with just enough Jewish in her, although she was Christian, to be in severe danger). Her family left just on time. I miss the things we used to do and talk about. She would have me over for dinner every week or two and afterwards we would talk or sometimes we would go to the college her brother used to teach music at and her brother and I would play Bach (I play flute). Mostly though we would just talk and sometimes take walks. She, also, was very philosophical. She had taught French in colleges here and she loved to read. We would have long conversations. Toward the end she would reminisce about her childhood in Germany and often about Albert Schweitzer, her godfather, who would visit their house every week when she was young. She admired and loved him so much that she stayed unmarried all her life, I believe, because no other man could live up to him in her mind! I guess what I am trying to say is that I miss Old Europe. Something I only got to experience second hand through her and her brother. I miss the depths of thinking, the imagination, the ability to experience the fascination of life through just being together, talking about ideas, and literature and music. I believe she would be horrified to learn about how quickly Europe is being erased today. Already back then she said it had changed so much. Europe was so rich artistically (all the arts, and literature) and philosophically, and so beautiful to walk around. I loved our times together. I miss her. There are forces (globalists who want to control the whole world and make everyone the same) who want to erase the individual cultures of our planet) who are responsible for this. It's by design and on purpose. That is what makes all this so tragic.

There is something direly missing in all discussions that contain abortion. Where is the earthly father in the discussion and his responsibility for the souls he sets in motion? There should be a similar protracted treatise--by a male guest and male interviewer.

She's very fine old woman, but she's very Roman Catholic....she highly esteemed Mary a mere human...all humans are equal in the sight of God...that includes Mary the mother of Jesus...
@guymigliaccio21248 жыл бұрын
+Michael Jordan "And the angel being come in, said unto her: Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women." [Lk. 1:28] The next instance is when Elizabeth was with the Holy Spirit, she stated that Mary was blessed. "And she cried out with a loud voice, and said: Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb." [Lk. 1:42]

This mere teenage human, Mary, was chosen by God the Father to bear God Incarnate. She is beloved of the Father, Mother of the Son, and Spouse of the Holy Ghost. I believe it was God who elevated her, not Roman Catholics. Honor your mother.

zeimarunescape Mary is nothing? That's quite a statement. I'm sure God honors His mother, in fact, He honored her so much that he allowed her to be the spouse of the Holy Ghost. She is not worshiped.
