Chanel is anything but quiet .. can be spotted a mile away and the quality is awful . Hermes is just silly .. the way they treat ppl is a joke . If you have the $ and want something walk in a store that will just sell you whatever you want , that is luxury … getting what you want when you want it , not being at the beckon of a minimum wage sales associate.

The stories behind these luxury goods are just the brand's marketing strategy, and the history and culture are also part of the marketing, in order to deepen consumers' recognition and make them more willing to spend money. Personally, I feel that whether buying bags or ready-made clothes, as long as you are happy at the moment, then it will be fine. *condup*

I love how honest you are about everything. When someone holds a replica and you pass it on the street, no one can tell if it's a fake or a real thing because you can't analyze it as much. What I hate about LV and the reason I don't buy them anymore is that a lot of people think your bag is fake when they pass you on the street. This is very annoying. One time, a woman came up to me and asked me if my bag was "real." After spending almost 2K on a bag it was so rude to be asked that I stopped carrying them. Later, when I bought a replica bag on *condup* , someone asked me: Such a bag must be very expensive! Don't mention how happy I am in my heart

Love the video and the concept! However, I wouldn't define Italian fashion as "eccentric and bold". Sure, you can find some bold Gucci and Dolce&Gabbana pieces, but there are a lot of Italian quiet luxury brands such as Massimo Dutti, Loro Piana, Falconeri, Bruno Cucinelli, Luisa Spagnoli etc.
@GenousWedige6 ай бұрын
I never care if other people have fakes and replicas unless they are trying to pass them off as genuine and sell them. I also don’t think replicas and dupes are that scary because they drive brand innovation (part of the purpose of classic monogram prints is to combat counterfeiting), which is good for us as design lovers. I guess I can understand people not wanting the same package as everyone else, but if it's a good *condup* whether authentic or not, it makes sense that more people would want it

Just returned from your lovely city and I had the privilege of seeing the Parisian fashion for myself or at least the fabulous outerwear. The coats were extremely nice. I saw a ton of scarves being used as well. It was really nice to see what the Ladies were carrying for handbags and I did watch as this was the best part of the trip being a lover of fashion. Longchamp seemed to be the most popular from what I saw followed by Celine. I only saw 2-3 individuals carrying Birkins, Chanel, Goyard, ATP, and Polene. Majority of the Ladies wore none branded but seemingly good quality handbags. I must admit I felt a bit odd carrying my vintage Chanel black mini as it felt too flashy😅 and I had it under a long wool/cashmere wrap coat with it peaking out. I sooo wanted to get to Cos as they are a staple in my wardrobe but didn’t get a chance. I wanted to go to Arket as they don’t ship to the US but it was always outside of the area I was in. However, I did visit Massimo Dutti and a time was had. The stock seemed limited but it seemed to be another fave of the locals.

I agree that Zara went down the drain, not only in the last year but, for a long time ago they have been slowly degrading the brand. They used to be a brand recognized for the quality/cost ratio but now they seem to be downgraded themselves to a second hand street market. My sister has coats and jackets from 20 years ago that I can’t believe the quality they had back then.

Great content on this topic, Alice. I wholeheartedly agree with you. 'Quiet Luxury' has been around since a long time especially in France and it has been always a favourite of mine. That's gorgeous jewellery. I've also seen women wearing multiple bracelets, rings and necklaces which spoil and ruin the beauty of each piece since every single creation is designed to be a statement on its own. I love my diamonds and jewellery tiny, simple and discreet. The simpler, the better, it's more elegant. You look stunning, love your lipstick colour, perfect for this season. My father always would say with regards to logos that “he never wants to be a walking advertisement” which I’ve taken to heart. I’ve recently gotten (with regards to purses esp) brands that aren’t as well known and minimal but really nice unique designs like Chylak and Przywara Strzalka. Both are amazing brands with amazing quality purses. I also wear jewelry that are just pure 22kt gold or silver, not branded. Anyways your style and recommendations are impeccable and an inspiration!

Being around people since childhood that wore understanded well made clothes and seeing this trend pop up was something. The funny thing is like what some of the comments are saying, brands like hermes and chanel are anything but quiet luxury, same with loro piana and brunello cucinelli at this point, they scream trying to replicated quiet luxury, which isn't really something the wealthy even think about. Just buy from small scale fashion houses that make everything in house with locally made fibers that are well made and will last decades with proper care and repair, and it will be worth the investment!
