According to scientific studies, more than the equivalent of a glass of wine will not improve suggestibility anymore but instead negatively impact the required focus. Good for you if it works for you, but I wouldn't give this as a general recommendation.

I dont think i was fully hypnotized, i would slip in and out but mostly was aware. It was harder trying to let my subconscious take over. I felt very relaxed and was more aware of the light arm. I may be weird, but i find popping blackhead videos on KZbin very relaxing.

As I have been trying to master Meditation, I have found my research touching on Hypnosis and Self-Hypnosis, and then I found your channel. I watched one of your older videos about physical and emotional suggestibles. As one who has trouble visualizing, I seem to be an emotional suggestible. As a result, I thought that hypnotism would not really work for me. That being said, this video worked amazing well for me. I keep thinking that I would be "asleep" under hypnosis, but I was aware of what you were saying, and yet my right arm went up of its own volition. Amazing! You have made me a believer As far as what makes me oddly satisfied, I don't really have an answer. I guess, as a terrible procrastinator, when I cross something off my to do list, I feel VERY satisfied. .

I think this was the first time hypnosis really worked on me. During the induction i consciously made the decision to "let go" and after the countdown i felt more relaxed and focused than ever before in my life. When you were talking about the baloons on my wrist, my arm didn't quite lift up right away because i was still a bit uncomfortable with hypnosis affecting me directly, but i could shake off these thoughts and after feeling my hand get a bit lighter, the rest happend almost automatically. I clearly remember the whole video because the part about forgetting was worded quite vaugely, the whole thing about my subconscious remembering and my conscious mind not needing to remember was a bit weird.
@oliviaeckert22625 жыл бұрын

Heavier was slightly noticeable for me; lighter not so much. I find hypnosis intriguing and I wish I was more susceptible to it, but I always struggle with letting my concious mind wander or go to sleep, etc. It's always trying too hard to listen and analyze the information coming in, even if I'm actively trying not to. I always get to a point in hypnosis videos/audios where I become very aware of the fact that I'm awake and alert when I'm supposed to be "under," and can't keep myself from worrying that I'm wasting the session because I've not gone "under" yet. I don't know if there's something I could be doing to be more receptive to hypnosis or not, but if you have any tips I'd be grateful for the advice. As for my oddly satisfying thing, I enjoy organizing things, whether it's boxes, books, dvds, or whatever else. Taking a collection of items and arranging them in a neat, sensible and logical way is very satisfying to me.

As somebody with the same problem, all I can say is practice. Which sounds weird, but I see hypnosis as guided meditation with some fun tid-bits added to it. But I have found it increasingly easier to stay focused after having watched plenty of these videos on youtube, so I´d say, keep watching them and just don´t worry too much about it if you start to think you´re wasting the session or your own time. Just focus on the effect it has on you.

That felt so good! I thought I was keeping up with your words at first, but at some point my eyes just became too heavy and my mind felt too fuzzy and relaxed, and I just remember enjoying the sound of your voice and letting myself obey. I think I felt the lighter sensation more. I'm not sure how high my arm raised but I couldn't prevent it from rising up as you talked. I really liked this confusion induction and your suggestions. ^_^ Hmm, squeezing Play-Doh in my hands until it was all 'squeezed out' always felt oddly satisfying to me. :)

I think I'm becoming more susceptible to hypnosis. I'm still conscious of my actions, but I just let your words dictate what I do like when there's a helium balloon tied on my left hand and it just feels natural to lift my arm up and "follow the flow." All I really did was follow what you said and then I start feeling the stuff you tell me like the ballon and lead blanket.

WOAH so I'm a skeptic but I wanted to believe so I gave in to suggestion. At the risk of other skeptics calling me out, I'll just say what happened. I was thinking consciously "there's no way my arm is gonna stay like that, I'm gonna get tired" but subconscious me was like "okay, bet" and I really was just chilling with my arm up. It was pretty cool. My "blanket arm" was resting on my leg so i couldn't see how heavy it got. Crazy.
@Sutekhwhitby6 жыл бұрын
That pretty much dropped me like a stone! I've always responded more strongly to suggestions of heaviness, but was aware of twitching ideomotor responses in the light hand as well. I didn’t think you fully went into a trance like state for at least 20minutes of an induction? I think for some people they also need the relation techniques. Relaxing each muscle etc. I think this makes a huge difference. Using the eye fixation technique is also a good one. Looking up until your eyes are tired, and then closing them down tightly. Also counting down using stairs and senses. Feeling the stairs, with each step. These are the techniques I like to use in practice.

I have watched it again today and didn’t fall asleep so I heard it in full. I have three questions: 1. Why is it called “confusion induction” 2. What does it say about me if lighter was easier than heavier? 3. For a rookie it’s not easy to find differences in the types of induction which you are pointing out. a. What inductions are there b. What’s the difference (I admit, this might be a long answer, so maybe Q/A material but curious :) )

Alicia ! You're so great ! I think I'm in love with you :) When I listen to you, I have a strange feeling, I don't know if it's ocytocine but I can tell you that most hypnosis videos don't have this effect on me. I've been once to a real (not online) hypnotherapist and I had the same feeling, I've read that it was related to some kind of harmony (I guess we're about the same age, that helps). I'm a meditation practitioner, vivid dreamer, and I love hypnosis. I use it a lot and your videos, especially the Best Sleep Hypnosis, are awesome.
