Men in Black (1997) could be considered a stand alone film and one of the best in my opinion, the sequels while good do not really fit, it was a global standout success in 1997 and everything about it is funny, cool and great and handled in a realistic way with no human looking aliens at all, the animated series can also be included as it predates the second one. and if only 5%-10% of the UFO stories are true, then many, many different species from different galaxies are visiting us and the men in black are apparently real
