In this instance I believe all caps is necessary. THIS PERSON NEEDS TO BE WORKING ON THE 'REAL THING', THE NEXT 'TRUE' ALIEN FILM, SERIES. IF THEY WERE CAPABLE OF THIS ON A SHOE STRING BUDGET. Yes I agree. I think its homage to the first movie was near perfect perhaps because the director had such a tight budget and he understood that the terror was not just the alien but the ship and in this case the corridors and basement became another part of that terror.

Okay, now having seen it, I really appreciate that the xenomorph truly has a presence, not just in the really good effects, but lots of fan-films fail to use sound to their advantage when they have a CGI creature moving around. But in this film, every step is heard, there's all the clanking over objects in the garage... fantastic! Also, when the guy went to go charge his phone on the wall, I was thinking a xenomorph would be camouflaged with all the black shiny material near it, and I was so tensed-up for a jumpscare. x-D That's another thing to point out; the jumpscares in this are few and far between, and don't have obnoxious sound design, which is more than I can say for most Hollywood horror movies.

I liked that scene where he is in the hallway and the camera shows the back of his neck. I think that scene was meant to emphasize the expression "raised the hairs on the back of my neck" when one feels that something is not right. A small detail but effective.

These are fantastic! This is where the Xenomorph thrives. As much as I find it a fascinating creature, I find these little stories about regular people forced to face the creature much more enjoyable. I used to think I wanted a larger mythology, but this is really all I want, Alien Anthologies. Short to medium length films with no connection to each other. The alien/predator crossover might even thrive as a short story.

I honestly don’t know if you’ll read this comment, creators of this two fantastic shorts, I just wanna tell you that you did a wonderful job, a job in my opinion superior to basically half of the Alien’s Franchise. You were able to convoy tension, terror and suspense by showing NOTHING for most part of the short and whenever the real monster was on screen it was SUPERB. This is cinema. In his true sense: when with the right angles and cameras you bring inside that place and make me think that there could be an actual xenomorph behind the next corner. I’ll never thank you enough, really hope you are now working in the high industry teaching to many others how with so few you can create so much.

I love both part 1 and 2. To me since there is no specific time on this video Earth, it could still be well in the future, so to me this is the start of the Aliens infestation on Earth like in the Dark Horse Comics. Small isolated incidents all over the world, each people dealing with this situation and this movie ends in a foreboding of the world beginning to feel the effects of the Aliens beginning to take over the planet. Excellently well done, and it goes to show the love the makers of these 2 films had for the ALIEN franchise, way better than the last 2 official attempts.

Definitely influenced by Alien: Isolation and an inspired way to show what it might be like in today's world. The production quality was, for what amounts to an "indy" studio, stunning and it took a second viewing to see where cg met reality. This really deserves a place within 20th Century Fox's Alien Anthology series.

This is FANTASTIC. That Xenomorph is incredible. It kind of makes the Xenomorph from the actual Alien films seem like an adorable puppy. He is so menacing and vicious here and the sounds of his loud heavy footsteps echoing throughout the corridors as he runs and walks is incredibly intimidating and frightening. To whoever created/designed this, it is magnificent. The sheer fierceness and raw power of this amazing creature is truly on display. Everything about this looks so professional. Very well done. I'm 4 minutes in and i must say. Using the reverse sensor as a makeshift motion sensor we've all come to know from the movies. That was bloody brilliant. Even better than the first one! Call me sexist, but horror movies are much more intense when it's a guy that's alone and scared. The woman thing was different back in the day, but now it's just overrun and played out!! I look at it on a deeper level: women are regularly extra cautious; they cry; they're weaker; so when they're scared and the only one in scene, it's often overkill. Guys, on the other hand, are the opposite, so when they're scared, something's really wrong! Think of the first Predator movie, the tension it had without being a horror movie.

Classically a frightened male lead, that can truely show fear in his acting, creates far more tension than a female lead who is equally frightened. It's not sexist, it's just how two millenia of cultural drama has developed. A man showing his vulnerability is far more 'agitating' to both men and women in general. Just the way it is.

Tommy We only saw one creature and don’t know how it ended up in an apartment block. The back story could include more aliens present in the area, we only saw what happened from the couple’s perspective. The bigger issue for me is Weyland and me trying to fit this short story into my head canon of the original trilogy and two prequel films 😋

The only thing I kind of didn't like so much, and it's really not a big deal to me, was the makeshift flamethrower. More so in the first short. If the alien ran away immediately instead of hanging out then running off after being hit with the makeshift flamethrower, it would've been better. This is my opinion of course, but still loved both parts!! Please do more!!

Anyone else catch the Easter egg with the face hugger on the lower right part of the passenger window when he pulled into the garage? The potential for this storyline to be a full length film is amazing. Reminds me of the comics where the aliens invade earth. Awesome job!
