I really liked it. I'll agree on the use of AI, though. That was VERY hit and miss. That's too bad you couldn't get past the final act, as I enjoyed it. Sorry to hear this, bud.

I honestly really liked it! You totally called they would do “something” with the cgi and I hated that, they placed way too much emphasis on the face!! There where some things like the pulse rifle scene at the end where I had to really suspend my disbelief, but overall I didn’t mind the 4th act, the creature was a little too human but I appreciate them trying something new, it really makes the Xenos feel alien and unpredictable, but I can see why it’s going to be a contentious topic!

@@ARFed There was stuff I liked. The opening score being like elliot goldenthals from 3 or the fact the proto Pulse-Rifles auto aiming stock would later be incorporated into the smartgun harnesses. And just how shitty across the board W/Y was to its employees.

Wanted to go Saturday gone when ticket prices were 4 quid but couldn't. Have heard all the spoilers including the marilyn manson appearance at the end😂 You actually peaked my interest with the things they did right and maybe I was a bit harsh in my expectations before. I will either see it on the cheap or wait for it on disney+ Cinema audiences can ruin even good films so will only go if its quiet. I think the adult xeno's mouth looks too open at the side, needs to be more snarly and drippy. Do you think they made it less threatening to get the lower age rating? Maybe there will be a more 18 rating version in the future or alternate ending😂

Oh no... Dropping the ball in the last act is just sacrilege. Im sure there's a dirty joke in there somewhere about build up and anticipation, but... no, not going there. I am still looking forward to this movie, as I have enjoyed all (Yeah, Covenant too) the films thus far.

Sorry to hear it didn’t work out for you. I agree the cast did a great job. My son and I really enjoyed it. I 100% get your criticisms though. I don’t think the 3rd act is going to get better upon repeated viewings,

I know you would have a problem with that 3rd act the minute when it started! I said 'Marty's going to blow a gasket over this'. Despite that setback, i still enjoy the film. It's good, a vast improvement over Covenant and Prometheus. It's not great like the first or second film in the franchise.

Bummer, they seem to really go out trying to promote it. So, do you think this movie be able to revive interest as like Prey did with Predator? I plan to wait until streaming to watch.

I love it did but that last act....I relise now why they were saying "hey now yea the practical effects are great but dont discount the CG...we got CG here!" No shit.. that wasn't a praise for the CGI..it was bracing us for that "THING" in the last act!😬

Don't agree at all my faults were the similar the CGI/AI wasn't necessary and could have been done better with a younger actor similar to how they done "Doctor Sleep" the Andy comment near the end made no sense as that particular event hasn't even happened yet as its in the future but the last part we have all seen in Promethus and Covenant the effects the black goo has on humans and I feel the people who hate these two films won't like the ending of this film. I already want to see it again and I would call myself unbiased despite being a massive Alien fan. Listen we are never going to get another Alien or Aliens they are the absolute gold standard of movie so going into any movie theatre and expecting anything else is just ridiculous. It's like going to watch your local team play football because you heard they have a lad playing named after Maradona and expecting him to score 15 goals

I didnt out and out hate this movie. It was really great up till the 3rd act. The sad thing was that ending stopped it being brilliant. I know we'll never get anything as great as Alien, Aliens or Alien3. I had my expectations set really low and when it started it was brilliant. I was onboard but that last act just spoiled was was essentially a great entry. Agien your right the line he says comes before the events of when Ripley siad it but it's just so on the nose. Agien while I didn't love this movie I just felt it spoiled all the fantastic work it had started out with.
