The Deepfake. The family was involved, and they agreed because the actor really enjoyed his role in Alien and wanted to be in another one, but didn't get a chance.

Hydrofluoroantimonic acid, the most corrosive substance in existence, has a pH of approximately -256. THIS shit, that Xenomorph blood, is maybe twenty times worse. You don't even feel it melting you because it dissolves the nerve endings way too quickly. The shock is what kills you.

I feel like Romulus was a love letter to the Alien franchise. It took so many existing elements and mixed them into something fresh, new, and terrifying. I cannot rave enough about the performances, set design, audio design, scriptwriting... all of it! This rocketed into the top three for me, absolutely brilliantly done!

I think they meant to gave the superserum to adults who then they become immune to diseases and recover from injuries quickly, and they probably pass these abilites to the children. The problem was that she was pregnant. The serum worked, she recovered from the injury, it gave her the upgrades the android promised, however the serum affected the baby that started developing abnormally, because it received the serum as a developing fetus. The scientists didn't have time to test the serum, so the android probably wasn't aware that it would cause this to a fetus.

So I'm not sure if you caught it, but the original xenomorph from the Nostromo secreted the resin stuff and formed a cocoon for itself before going into hibernation. All the other xenomorphs were born from facehuggers that attacked the research team and made the station go dark, then went into hibernation once they were the only living things on the station. Xenomorphs can hibernate for extremely long periods of time, and I'm not even sure if old age is something they die from. The eggs can last for thousands of years, as seen in the original movie, at the very least.

Also!!! I loved this film, it was one of my surprise favorites out of the year.... maXXXine was my favorite of the year... not including the blockbuster Deadpool v Wolverine or Twisters. - - - Yall should do Dolores Claiborne 1995 - Kathy Bates best role and Stephen King's favorite film adaptation. It's a masterclass in filmmaking with god teir level acting from Kathy & Jennifer Jason Leigh. - It's dark and the material is mature. - I loved the book. King wrote the book with Kathy in mind after seeing her in Misery. - - - highly recommend. Danny Elfman does the score and John C. Riley makes a guest appearance. ****** I felt so bad for Kay, the whole film. She literally had the worst day ever. She wakes up and witnesses a creature burst out of her friend. she survives total chaos in a crash, only to see the father of her child die underneath the very personification of Satan's vagina, if Satan was indeed a female..... that creature then crowned out of Satan's vagina and then attacked her. This robot persuaded her into injecting herself with this fluid that would allow for her unborn child to see the sun one day. .... She then goes to sleep, only to awaken to birth this spawn of satan in an egg, then burns through the ship. Crawls back up to feed off of her.... All within the span of what, one hour ???? --- from the time the crash , ring impact, .... she literally had the worst hour and a half of any person in the Alien Franchise.....

“I like how it looks like the alien from Prometheus btw” ooof you don’t know how right u are, there so many theories but one of them is confirmed thru prologues and deleted scenes and scripts, that the android david in Prometheus altered that black liquid in his own way incorporating xenomorph and none other than the ENGINEER DNA so when she jabbed herself with the needle of black liquid it’s the new modified version which essentially she gave birth to 3 species hybrid, a xenomorph, engineer, human hybrid, which would explain the similarities in the appearance 🫣🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 they’re finally slowly bringing back the engineer storyline 👀🤞🏽

The black goo here was reverse engineered from the Xeno from original Alien. As far as we can tell in-universe, that batch of Xeno eggs was much, much older than even the movie Prometheus. So, as of the moment they're kind of parallel elements at play, unless the third prequel ties things closer together more concretely.

I was completely onboard with the movie *right up* until Ian Holm appeared and then it just felt like an onslaught of fanservice. All Alien movies are effectively the same plot but through different directors’ visions with a bit of worldbuilding, but this one felt like Fede Alvarez had an idea and the studio or Ridley Scott stepped in to tell him to plug in references. The movie could very much work without all that fanservice shit, but as it stands you could just watch Alien, Aliens, Alien Resurrection, and Prometheus and you’ll have all that this movie gave you

Fede also played Alien isolation and has a few easter egg from the game in the movie, such as a safe station from the game. I heard that Ash's actor was supposed to have a cameo or a small voice acting in the game, but he had to refuse due to his health issue. I also think there’s some other bits of Expanse DNA in this movie. Making gravity part of the story, and Rooks (Ash) description of why the company wanted the Prometheus black goo sounded suspiciously like why Jules Pierre Mao wanted the protomolecule. I actually really like this reasoning for pursuing the Alien/black goo/ engineers as it elevates Prometheus and Covenant a bit I think.

stupid film, even more stupid than Prometheus or Covenant. Quite an achievement.

Thank you. I thought I was in a paid media shill comments section. This film is apparently the darling of 20 year olds with very little film viewing experience, who wouldn’t know good plot or acting if they tripped over it. Who think Spaney and Merced are good actors and attractive. I’m stupefied at the ignorance in here.

@@michaelsegriff3362 I never said it's a good movie. For me, it's an ok movie. A couple of cool moments, a really good performance by David Jonsson, great production design and good camerawork. I didn't regretted buying the ticket and had a good time, that's a win for me.

I love the first 10 mins where they're going on and on.. and on.. and on about how Weyland would never let them leave the mine no matter what. Then... they just take a Weyland ship not only out of the mine, but entirely off planet, with no one or nothing trying to stop them. makes zero sense, like the rest of the stupid movie.

They cant get out of the system without cryosleep so yeah...they cant leave without Wayland permission. Their job involves being on that ship, so its not a plot hole in the slightest. Maybe instead of trying to play gotcha on the movie, actually pay attention.

@@warriorcatsclaw ok.. what if they went to... any other part of the planet.. or to another ship .. in space.. like they did. it is a plot hole. like the entire movie.

@jeremycovelli You mean the planet owned by Wayland? How exactly would that help? Plus its not exaclty a nice place to call home anyways since its purely there for the mines. We dont even know how habitable the rest of the planet is considering there is never any sunlight. Also what other ship? They have access to one mining ship and use what they have. That's not a plot hole. If you don't like the movie that's fine, but none of what you said is an issue with the movie, especially since they clearly explain why they need the pods at the "going on and on" bit of the movie.

@@warriorcatsclaw there are a bunch of ships coming and going every day.. explained in said movie when what's her name is trying to get on one.. but worker changes her hours needed. Also.. not one of these ships coming and going noticed the giant space station floating around the planet? but these idiot kids who have no life, and no knowledge of anything somehow find it? Also the station just so happens to be directly above perhaps the only city on the entire planet?? that's convenient.
@warriorcatsclaw

@jeremycovelli You mean...the ships she needs permission to board? The very thing you were complaining about? How exactly would they board one of those? The main crew have a ship already, and just need the pods to make their escape. Their plan is desperate but not a bad one. Also there is no telling if someone else noticed the space station, the main crew spotted it and planned to be on/off in a matter of 30 minutes so there is no telling if the company would have gone to retrieve it. As for convenience, yeah, that's how stories work. It's the primary incident that Starts the plot.

This was a terrible film. Cast were a bunch of lightweights and unknowns who couldn’t act. Plot was stupid, full of holes, and dialogue plagiarized from far superior characters played by far superior actors in far superior films . Spaney and Merced? GTFO. They have the presence of girls working at 7-Eleven.
