To me, this song IS Alien Soldier's soundtrack. Like, seriously, no other song in the game can compare to this. It's just too perfect for nonstop running and gunning and boss battles. They easily could have replaced every other song with this one and I would be happy.

One of the most underrated games for the Sega Mega Drive. Coming from a Puerto Rican gamer, I never got a chance to play this game legitimately, but it is by far one of the greatest run 'n' gun games of the genre. Period. Anyone who loves this subgenre owes it to themselves to find this title ans give it a go. You will not be disappointed.

AMAZING SONG! And Amazing game!!!!! This game showcased the true power of the 16 Bit SEGA hardware. It had amazing music, graphics, solid controls, and it never lagged, not even 4 sec!!!!! Also the true milestone this game achieved was its ability to showcase such a vast color palette. SNES has many more available colors hence why many of their games look sharper, but with the right levels of resolution and shading the programmers of A. Solider showed how vibrant 16- Bit games for the SEGA could look.

+FunkMastaMegaFlex Actually it's the Mega Drive which usually has sharper-looking games since it runs most of its library (Alien Soldier included) in a resolution of 320x224 pixels while the SNES is stuck in 256x224 pixels so, in comparison, SNES games have smaller playfields and stretched graphics with usually wrong aspect ratio once displayed in 4:3. Aside from this, SNES might have more colors but the Mega Drive can already produce great graphics like you said with Alien Soldier but also Sonic, Ristar, Streets of Rage 2, Aladdin, Mickey Mania, Thunder Force IV, Panorama Cotton, Super Fantasy Zone... Overall Sega focused on the more important factors with the Mega Drive: CPU, resolution and also sprite capabilities which are all better than SNES and which is why 1) the Mega Drive can do games that the SNES couldn't such as Alien Soldier, Streets of Rage 2 or Thunder Force IV 2) multiplats are usually better on Sega's console: Earthworm Jim, Mickey Mania, Street Fighter II, Puyo Puyo, Raiden, the Strike serie (Desert, Jungle and Urban), almost every sport games (FIFA, John Madden, NHL...), etc

Very,very,veeeeryyyyy glad :) I´ve bought the PAL version a few days ago on ebay,complete with box & instruction manual. For a whopping 90 euros. Anyway,i cant wait to see this action fest in motion^^ One of the best action games ever made,and a rare Mega Drive/Genesis game too that fits perfectly into my collection^^

@Redfield67 Actually, Sega Channel was pretty popular in it's day. By 95 the genesis was on par with the SNES in popularity. Both were starting their declines as the 32 bit systems started to emerge. But I know that the Mega Drive was ungodly successful in Europe.

@@goldinho If that were the case, it still would have been this fast; the PAL version had the game's sound driver adjusted so that the music would still play at the correct speed. The only other possibility is that the OP somehow had a Japanese copy and played that on a PAL Mega Drive.
