I missed seeing your wife with you on this reaction. I enjoy how you two bounce ideas and observations off each other. Plus, I love it when real men show the world how a real couple works together in a loving and respectful manner to the benefit of not just the couple, but to those who observe and learn from their example. I still enjoyed the movie and reaction greatly my friends.

I love how the Predator eventually saw and marked her as an ally, and the other Predators acknowledged that as well. I just wouldn't wanna feel the sting of that acid blood marking me.

AVP was actually my first introduction to the realm of Xenomorph’s and Predators. Kinda glad, since the R rated films of these alien icons were…out of range, so to speak. This film is cool, seeing the two title characters do what they do against each other and how the practical FX were done. It was a good way to get to know these alien creatures at an appropriate age.

Also a few things to add 1) scar - the lasting predator - has the ability to move much faster than lex - lasting human. he has more stamina than she does which caused him to mov a hell of lot faster than Lex but he purposely kept with her. Ps. Me personally - I think it just shows that how much he respects and more likely honors her. The two things that they most cherish - respect and honor And 2) the xenomorph claw that scar had on his hip is from the same xenomorph that lex killed which explains why he gave her the mark because that is her kill and she earned that mark 3) the predator with the cape, he's a much more older one, more towards an elder predator - has (obviously) lived longer and killed/hunted more. More likely he is in charge of this ship. He acknowledged her because he acknowledged the mark on her cheek. like in predator 2, he gifted her his staff - I am assuming on what he and his ship had witnessed.

the pred-alien hybrid at the end was pretty crazy for alot of people new to the franchise but at the time when i saw this with my dad we both had the PC Alien Vs Predator games from the late 90s/early 2000s and it had the 3 campaigns for the Soldier, Predator, and Alien and the Predalien was one of the ones you can fight and play in online multiplayer

God this was an amazing reaction. I love this crossover between the two series of Movies. Predators are tough and hunters by nature, but damn the Aliens still carry their own weight in strength and speed, but I don't know if the girl hadn't helped or if she hadn't been there to help, I think the Alien Queen might have survived. Hard choice to say which is best because they both have such high ranks and also their own skills in their environments, they both have that in common they can hunt just about anywhere there adaptable to any Climate. So, it's a hard question to answer which is best, but I have to go with the Predators being just a bit smarter than the Aliens but then again, it's hard to say the Aliens have their strange smartness too.

Colin Salmon. He was the team leader in the first Resident Evil and his character was rebooted in Resident Evil Retribution and he appeared as Spectre in various films in the 007 franchise

Baddass reaction and honestly I like this film, it could of had more alien/predator battles but still an enjoyable ride in my opinion. The whole Egypt pyramid lore was cool to me, it was a nice way to bring the two iconic monsters face to face and the pyramid shifting around added more tension to the film.

Chopper, Celtic and Scar were the Predator version of teenagers taking their big trial to become adults. to join the blooded by earning the mark killing Xenomorphs. It's one of the greatest honors among their people to get the chance to hunt the great serpents.

To add what otakuwolf4ever985 said, each predator has their own tactics: -Chopper relies more on his weapons -Celtic relies more of his strength -Scar relies on his intelligence --which explains why Scar lasted longer

Fire reaction bro! If you haven't yet, I recommend watching Prey. It's a prequel to Predator set in the 1700s. It's my second favorite Predator movie after the original. I just know you'll love it!

The movie was enjoyable enough but I never understood why they didn't just set it the same as the original comics. Takes place around the future time period of Aliens, with the marines. There is a similar thing where the main character woman becomes "part of the Predator clan" and for a time she literally rides with them in their ship and goes on hunts with them. So much gold material in the comics that they just ignored.

So I love giving lore on this movie as I was a fan of the comics. Both sides. And inbetween. So these predators. Were young bloods. Not very experienced. And had not earned their shoulder canons yet. Once the beckon on earth was sounded these three were thrown down to prove their worth. This is why their armor melts to the alien acid. Their young bloods. So their armor is weaker. The stronger and more advanced you get the stronger your gear gets. And these predators are from a specific clan known as the hish. They are directly the clan from the first film. And the second. But many clans exist. If the yautja can’t find good prey they tend to fight amongst each other a lot. And the engineers who created the xenomorph alien. Created them to fight the yautja aka predators. In the comics. Who know how much of that is canon anymore. But the engineers from Prometheus made the aliens to fight the preds and the predators loved them. They loved having such an intelligent opponent. And all the different variations of the xeno too. To the point the yautja called it a war. When predators are hunting. They have an honor code. When you go to war with them. The honor code goes out the window. They love war. But try their best to never go to war. Why? But they are afraid they’d wipe out the galaxy and or take it over. They don’t want to do that. But rather have free reign to hunt how they please and they will give you their version of fair and if you win fair enough. They give respect instead of calling you an enemy. That’s why I love the waylend scene. He saw he was mortally sick and found to be unhonorable prey. And then weylend turns and goes “don’t turn your back on me” and shows he was a threat after all. Scar (affectionately named by fans) turns around ands like “congrats you get to die a man. You’re now an honorable kill.”

If it seemed like the Predators were taken out too easily, it's because they are only teenagers trying to earn their right of passage. If you successfully acquire a Predator shoulder cannon, you made it. But you still have to survive. -OG

However, after most of the humans and Predators are killed, Lex join forces with the sole surviving Predator after Lex kills an Alien that ambushes the two. Lex provides Scar with his plasma cannon while he makes her a makeshift shield and spear out of the remains of the dead Alien in return of her gratitude. Why did the Predator spare Lex in the end and left her unharmed. A Predator Ancient and his ship uncloaked, and his troops gathered up their fallen comrade. Before he departed, he gave Lex the retractable spear as a sign of respect, noticing the mark of a warrior which had been branded on her cheek.

I'd not be with that team, yeah, I would leave but that's me, I am not curious enough to go down there and find my own death. So, I'd be on the ship or well flying out of there. I am not sticking around there's not enough money in the world that to convince to check out lost temples and or hidden pyramids.

The alien queen will get crushed by the pressure of the ocean. Remember even steel gets crumpled like a soda can at deep depths. She would be frozen and crushed to tiny bits most likely. Tiny frozen bits. Luckily both alien queens killed in this and aliens died for good; this one frozen and crushed at the bottom of the Antarctic Ocean, and the one ripley shot into space, they were still in orbit around the planet so the queen would’ve burned up in reentry (remember spaceships need super advanced plating to renter and even those get red hot) and if she didn’t burn up she would hit the planet at terminal velocity which for her could be insanely fast (very heavy). She would be obliterated either way.

I finished the Alien vs Predator:Prey book this morning and it was pretty good. The female protagonist actually becomes bloodied and goes to live amongst the Yautja society as a prominent huntress, evening killing Queens. The best part of the story is the POV from the Commanding Officer Predator who's leading a hunt for unbloodied Yautja warriors. On a planet which has never had humans living there, and none of the Yautja has actually haunted a human only heard stories of "Oomans" (the Yautja) word for human. When everything goes to sh!t and the protagonist has to team up with the Commanding Predator to protect the small town.
