I got the neca facehugger, love it. And I've been playing with the idea of finding some hi-q poly models that I can get some life size prints from. I found a very good file set for the eggs but I just wanna get a nice good size xenomorph...this feels pretty close.

Answear and i might try to rip game assets from AvP 2010 (If some tools are available i can do the pc stuff to make it possible) If there is a possibility to get assets from Alien : Isolation then you could have an incredible high poly Alien model ! *Edit* its possible to get model from nearly every Alien franchise videogame, and even the Alien from Alien: Isolation that should be a really high quality model. Buying the game now and try my best.

I love the Alien movies, saw Aliens several times at the cinema when it came out, I'm currently starting the 100% alien queen from the diorama, first section done was the mouth and part of the head with a grey/ clear semi opaque resin mix I quickly printed the alien queen one piece to have a reference for the big one

I think I saw is about three times when it first came out at the cinema I've always been captured by aliens since.. managed to meet quite a few of the actors over the years at comicon 😁

I always wondered how people put the models together, that was pretty slick. I do bronze casting and Ive been thinking of getting a resin printer to use it to make bronze castings. a bronze alien would be something!

Yeah you could but the detail may be lacking a little and post print cleanup would be more due to supports but yes it's doable

After seeing that queen build and now the warrior...maybe I should try a few warriors and eggs for a massive diorama base for her...will my wife kill me? Probably, will it be worth it? Id use similar colours i used for the alien queen i did TBH - but plenty of slime either clear coat or clear resin cured on it

I just downloaded my copy of the diorama stl files and can't wait to get at it. Did you use the pre-supported files or did you do your own supports?

To be honest I used my own supports are quite like to fiddle with the models put them how I want them and then support them myself nothing wrong with the pre-supported ones it's just how I like to do it

@@greedy3d480 I find the pre supports can be a little wonky sometimes. Other times they work perfectly. I usually position the piece, run auto supports, then go in and fix/add whatever I feel is necessary. A lot less fails when you take the wheel.
