1:33 Chris Carter is the guy on the left, the other one is Josh Kalis, one of the main riders which is not even mention in the video, he got such a big impact on the brand, differently from Berra and Kirchart who were added when the brand started declined. You don't mention even Don Pendleton who was the art director in late 90's, his art pushed the brand in the olympus of the cool companies.

An Alien Aarto Saari board was the last deck I ever purchased before a back and knee injury ended my skating life after 12 awesome years. Still in great shape with some krux, hubba wheels, jessop grip, and red bone bearings. And I owned many Habitat decks throughout those years, they were always my fave.

Commented on the previous post wondering if aws went out of business. Really happy to get a full understanding of the company. Always loved aws, have had multiple aws and habitat boards over the years. They produced greats like Jason Dill and Silas Baxter-Neal. Aws holds a special place in my heart, both personally and historically. Really happy to see Dyrdek "do right" by the company. As much as I hate ridiculousnous, and I do, Rob Dyrdek has become one of my heroes. Saving alien workshop cemented that.

It was amazing growing up in the skate culture of Dayton during this time. I can't stand on a board but I always filmed my friends. It was not uncommon to see big skaters out and about skating with kids and local talent. Especially after Rob and DC helped open the Plaza in Kettering. It really helped a lot of people get really good. I have no doubt that for a short period of time, the kids in Dayton were among the top of the pack.

New year's eve of the year 2000, navy blue aws hoody, cartel knee length shorts with no footwear by sunset. Went to Mount Maunganui Beach, in the North island of New Zealand mid summer, for the occasion, just 18 because my girlfriend at the time was staying there with her parents. Watched the sun rise on a $3,000,000 yacht in the harbor with the people I met as we counted down the seconds to the new millennium the night before. The Alien workshop hoody (the 3 aliens side by side with the horizontal rainbow colors on each side) was the conversation starter for the whole night. New Year's Eve in Summertime probably sounds absurd to anyone reading this. But Christmas in summer is ridiculous. Santa wearing that suit in 90 degree weather.

Having been born in 1990, one of the first videos I saw was Habitat Mosaic and The DC video. Both introduced me to AWS riders and I checked out memory screen timecode, photosynthesis and it blew me away. Im from northeast Ohio and the workshop was probably the most popular company, or at least up there along with habitat. We were always influenced by a lot of east coast skaters and alien was from Ohio anyway. Idk how many I had but I've always loved Pendleton graphics and get Darkroom products any chance I get. I've always had respect for Dyrdek for shit like this even if I'm not into the MTV shit he does. His cousins are from my area and I remember always seeing them and Kevin Terpening around riding workshop boards and DC shoes. They were in a local video called Point Blank everyone interested should hunt down

Nate I was curious about your old channel. Are we going to ever see any posts on it or is it going to be left in purgatory? I do enjoy both of these channels, but your old one is getting a lot of comments asking if you’re dead and what the future holds for it. Just thought it would be cool to see it expanded on and maybe even if you change directions and make it more of a personal channel instead of a completely pop punk/music channel then it could still be fun to mess around with. A lot of the people there aren’t just there for the bands, but also you as a person.
