Aliens Colonial Marines Flamethrower Prop

Making a budget version of the Aliens Colonial Marines M240 flamethrower, from a toy M16/grenade launcher combination.

I'd rather see people make their own. Anyone can buy something that someone else made, but making one's own requires creativity and imagination--things that few people have.

I originally ordered the "Scarface" M16/grenade launcher from Amazon, because the square shroud that holds the launcher on the barrel looks like the movie prop. For some oddball reason, though, Amazon sent me a "police/SWAT" toy gun instead. Same price, but different gun. So I made do with what I got. At some future time I'll probably re-do it with the better-looking toy gun.

Nice weapon takes a lot of creativity to make something like that ill be more inspired next time i try to make something related to weaponry also didn't notice you had a snake behind you right?

Awesomeness! Pretty awesome repurposing the M16 toy. Honestly, I did a flamethrower in the style of a WWII flame unit for an R.J. MacReady costume (R.J. MacReady from John Carpenter's "The Thing") out of PVC and an ALICE frame, but I definitely like your flamethrower because of how you repurposed what you were able to find without having to spend a whole lot of cash (in a true low-budget/no-budget filmmaking manner). Great job. :D

The next film will probably be xenos and stormtroopers. The body count will be pretty high. ;) The Colonial Marine will come afterwards.
