It occurs to me Natural Selection 2 might be my favourite "Not-Aliens, but Aliens" game. Surprised no developer just saw that game and went, "We could do that, but with the Aliens IP!" A weakened Queen who gets stronger ala Evolve as Xenos get resource/map control Vs Weyland PMCs who work like Marines in Natural Selection over maps such-as mining rigs, abandoned ships/science colony bases.

NS and NS2 are about the only good asymmetrical games around. Normally when anything that has two such wildly differing gameplay styles take each other on even the slightest of advantages gets exploited mercilessly by the side that has it - but NS has avoided all that. Heavily dependant upon the experience and ability of the commander for the Frontiersmen though - get a noob in the hotseat and you'll be spending a lot of time being digested by an Onos.

I think this game looks promising! They should have a Deep Rock Galactic style HUB for the squad to hang out in before they take on missions. Imagine you have like the mess hall and the hangar bay from the movies to hang out in. You could upgrade your gear, do the five finger knife game on each other, and eat your cornbread before loading up the dropship and going on a bug hunt!

Hopefully those lights on the characters are customizable because the orange just makes me think of The Division and blue would probably make me think Dead Space, so I'd suggest changing the colour to green or let us choose any colour, also hope we can use sentry turrets and weld doors, and would be nice if there was a building element to the game like the fortification system from Battlefield 5 could help it fell less repetitive if we can do more than just shoot.

Joe!! 5 Unique Classes to chose from Gunner, equipped with the Pulse Rifle. Demolisher, Wields the Smartgun. Technician, can place down Auto Turrets to guard an area. Doc, behaves as the squads medic. Recon. is adept at tracking enemies. More to come on the classes and their abilities. Each class has their own special abilities and character perks. With an Extensive arsenal of 30 + weapons and 70 + mods/attachments to choose from. Sounds really good, I really like how there will be a lot of different weapons and mods that will require you to think before going into a mission making sure you have the right load-out or it could be disastrous.

from what i saw in a article interview with teh devs, its 22 years after alien 3, 11 different types of xenomorph selected from different films, games, comics and books plus hint at maybe some new styles, 5 character classes each with a RPG upgrade system and then around 30 weapons with around 80 attachments between them

Deathwing is FPS. If you want to compare Deathwing to a similar game like this, then there is WH 40K Darktide which will come out this year (hopefully). I think this game would be also much better in FPS

@@robertschaffer596 I know SH:D is 1st person, I've played it, but due to what looks like playing as a squad is a key factor, I'd say it's more like Spacehulk vs L4D. Plus it looks like each character had their own role: smart gunner, marine, demo (looked like i saw a grenade launcher) so it is indeed somewhat similar to Deathwing
