In the book they explain that the research center here created acid proof armor and sold it to the colonial marines and the reason why the outbreak happened was because they were reaserching more ways to make better armor and weapons to kill the Xenos!

Judging by what their setting up, season 1 could be quite interesting. Edit: It's possible we may not see anything major happen until season 2 onwards. In a recent Q&A on the official A:FE discord server, they suggest that season 2 onwards will release next year. If they do another campaign, it will probably come out then.

I haven't been able to find specifics regarding content, but Season 1 comes out in November. Season 2 should be out in February 2022. Season 3 in May. And Season 4 in August. We got the phalanx class and other good stuff for free in the previous update, so I'm hopeful for the game.

They are most likely setting this game up to have future content to be added in latter on. Which would make sense since this game was already similar to games like warface. They are probably just starting it off with these initial few campaigns, and then as the games lifespan progresses, more and more content is added in the form of new weapons and tools to use, new classes to play as, new enemies to fight, and new campaigns to play through.

I get the feeling that the final boss will be Xenomorph Seven at Pala Station, judging by what's set up in Aliens: Infiltrator and what some characters say in this game. I think it was good to have the queen be unkillable, it wouldn't make sense to kill the queen in this situation and it seems too expected at this point. Way too much Aliens media has the queen as the main antagonist, it's refreshing to have the focus be on something else. I don't like how lots of people think that killing the queen weakens the rest, xenomorphs are the perfect organism, even some termites have a way to cope with that.

You know I like the player running from the Queen while killing other Xenomorphs. We don’t have any big mechs to fight the Queen or any super weapons, we just have normal guns. We are just a normal soldier. It would make no sense to fight the Queen and beat her with some normal weapons. This way of doing it makes sense and makes the Queen more scary in my opinion

Hot take: It was a good decision to not make players fight the queen -It would have made no sense in this situation since they needed to escape quickly and the hive is already going to blow up -Having the queen as the main antagonist is overdone, and I think Xenomorph Seven at Pala Station would be a much more interesting final boss -Chase sequences are cool -Even if the hive wasn't going to be destroyed anyway, killing the queen isn't as helpful as you'd think. Even some termites can create replacement queens, and xenomorphs are the perfect organism so it's dumb to expect them to just give up and die off without a queen.

It just reminds me of the Alien novel Sea of Sorrows where one queen was killed but another was brought out of hybernation. So no matter what, the xenos have a contingency plan if the colony is fully operational and have enough eggs to last a lifetime

That's because the difficulty, if you want the real alien experience you have to play this game on insane difficulty.

@@zael7848 Honestly it is REALLY HARD to play above anything other than normal mode. Nearly everything above runners can kill you in 2-3 hits and they all become bullet sponges. It seems there's not really much you can do to improve the situation by skill, either, you just need to grind and farm the best loadouts. That being said, it's a really visceral experience in Insane mode and I do commend anyone who's managed to beac the campaign at that level.

Honestly, I'd prefer a bullet sponge boss battle where you evade the Quuen, and when you finally blasted her enough she drops vs this "just run away from the Queen" type "boss". Perhaps she follows you back up and you use a big machine to kill her. Something to give you a chance to beat a giant monster alien. For that matter, there could be an even larger alien boss than a queen. Some giant up armored alien like in the rail shooter arcade Aliens Armageddon, or like a fully CG version of the huge monster alien that was the Aliens Infestation final boss. Alien games have been sliding on boss battles lately

Right? But yet still five times better than Colenial Marines game lol. In Colenial Marines I didn't even finish the second mission and called it a quit. This is how bad the game was despite of it having a lot of cutscenes with a good script too and so-fourth. At the end, gameplay is what matters most. FireTeam superior gameplay so it wins straight away.

The game is good we enjoyed it so much left us wanting more. We got disappointed no grenade launcher on the pulse rifle a big miss and the queen had no health bar so it was never a boss fight or showdown. Plus one cut scenes would have been nice to improve the story

Tried unloading every round I had in my smartgun, rifle & microrockets on the Queen Alien from the last door next to the elevator (had like 30 seconds to do it). Did not see any damage being registered at all.

I watched ACG's review of this game and the list of negatives made me knock it off my buy list. I just come here to watch the ending and save myself a lot more time and money. Reviews not being embargoed is one thing but straight up entire gameplay playthroughs or plot cinematics. I wonder how much positive and negative effects full playthroughs have on sales? I got Mass Effect back in 2008 because of a playthorugh.

The ending is SO BAD. You can't actually fight the queen (or even be killed by her really), and there is not cutscene at all. The mission just ends and you go back to the hub where all the NPCs act like you're still in the middle of the campaign. Literally nothing changes. It has no impact and no meaning. Also, the campaign is ridiculously short and I felt incredibly betrayed by the devs. They promised new seasonal content, but there hasn't been anything other than... new weapons? Like, what am I gonna do with this new weapon? Play the same missions I already did??? Why??

William: Correction, it gives you TWO pre-set Android team AIs. And are indeed very effective on easy & normal mode. Higher difficulty they probably are still very good but even you will have the hardest time of your life taking on the Aliens at this point. This game has no checkpoint to begin with. So playing on higher difficulty isn't recommended even if you're with friends because yes, shitty players do in fact exist.

I can help, get 2 friends who are decent, buy a crap ton of turrets (atleast like 13) and maybe like 5 mines, when the 2 warriors come, place down all the turrets at once and just keep on blowing them up, use your gernades and just let the guns do their job, them run to the back of the ship and escape, thats how i finished it

Massive let down at the end. You see the work loader being serviced and think you'll have a final showdown back at the base with the Alien Queen at the end ... Nope!! You just endlessly keep shooting mini aliens and come back to base to hear some drivel about how well you've done... Definetly not worth completing this one...Makes me wonder if the developers couldn't be bothered with a proper ending...

They didn’t have the budget, they said they put money into fine tuning and gameplay assets over things like mouth animations and a ending sequence. They said that will come later as unfortunate as it is, they wanted the game to play well overall…. It’s a 10 man team that did the impossible they made a good aliens game that’s fun frantic and replay able.
