The suits might have short range dislocation but aren't themselves capable of interstellar jump while the ship carries on it some kind of node or signal booster that when synced vastly expands the abilities of said suits. Similar to the Protoss in Starcraft, they can teleport locally but only so much how ever they have larger units that provide a stronger networked link to a larger galactic network for local forces to link to. In this case the ship provides a base of operations and a form of ftl transport while also acting as a kind of command and control center linked into a network.

@@thirstyserpent1079 i was thinking the same thing but among the lines of if humans made it. We mostly likely will only be able to transfer organic matter. For the first little while or maybe NON organic matter maybe we can send supplies but humans plants animals die?

@@jerseybound717 I'm not sure we will ever get the specifics on the technical designs for the aliens in the film. Though when it comes to teleportation made by a human I would want either some serious computational power or something else that tells me it will be properly reconstructed on the other end. The trillions of atoms that are being deconstructed moved then put back together with a teleporter is complex. In this case I'm not sure this is fully that, more like time space folding? The scene when the one guy while fighting with the alien keeps getting pulled through various shifted locations its more like they are tunneling from one location to another via an intergalactic network.
