The first Predator that showed me that even Yautja could be heroes. He is the IDEAL Predator. Strength, Speed, Stamina, and Skill... He was like the Captain America of Predators. To me, he is what every Predator should be like...

@Jimmy De'Souza He didn't even know that humans were living on Ryushi. He also didn't even know that they were similar to one another until he and Noguchi met one another. Hell, his mind didn't start changing until Meriem Revna saved his life. So, the Xenomorph infestation wasn't even entirely intentional. That captured Queen made sure a Royal egg survive to start a new hive. No way he knew about humans living on Ryushi or the captive Queen screwing things up.
@RakaiThwei5 жыл бұрын
@Jimmy De'Souza You're comparing puppies to Xenomorphs? You're talking about a relatively innocent and harmless animal such as a puppy, to an alien life on that is so hostile, that it's willing to kill anything and everything that isn't similar to itself. Oh yes, because Xenomorphs are so harmless. Get out of here.

“Move well or die. There was no room for error in the hunt.” & “They would learn Just as he had learned, They were not the Gods gift to the universe. He would see to it, Or he would see them dead. Either way was the path.” I have listened to this at least 40/50 times, and still come back for this knowledge. For me this is the best example of Yautja Honor and Discipline.

Good video, but the story is all wrong. This lead up story (#2 of 3) was about 4 different tribes / clans taking new warriors for their first training hunt. The first fight was between 2 of the hunt leaders. It was regarding choice of hunt location. Broken Tusk only challenged once his preferred location was chosen by the victor. Contrary to your assertion that he had never hunted the planet referred to as Ryushi by the humans, he had in fact been there prior. Proof being in his hunt attire, some of which was made of rhynth leather. Lead up story #3 follows the warrior Broken Tusk defeated, and the training hunt he oversees on a swamp like jungle planet. Great video regardless. Looking forward to more on this most awesome series.

I have to admit I tailored the comic to fit with the story of the novel specifically, a lot of liberal use of the panels bordering on deceptive. I am happy with how it all turned out though and I’m glad you enjoyed it regardless of the inconsistencies!
@liv4combat5 жыл бұрын
@@AlienTheory One more thing you may find interesting, and you probably already planned on mentioning it. The hunt leader from the Aliens vs. Predator story in the DHP 5th Anniversary Special is the same one defeated by Broken Tusk. You can tell by his clan symbol. Such a well thought out story. Always wondered why they just didn't use this story (page for page) to make the movie. Perfect storyboard. Missed opportunity.

Not related to the video. I remember I read almost 30 years ago an interview with H. R. Giger in which he said he had created a sexy and slick creature and that in the film they had made it a disgusting drooling monster. Of course my memory may not be accurate and it was a spanish videogames magazine so the actual words were probably different. I may be able to find the article. In any case I always thought that the drool was overdone, even before reading the interview, besides being disgusting rather than horrifying and attractive as Giger conceived it. I'd love to know how was the alien as Giger designed it. Any chance of an Alien Theory video about it?

@@joshrobbinsditto3055 predator was a cringe worthy mistake of trying to emulate avengers in the predator universe. Aliens and predator should stay in tune with the comics and the movies, it's what the fans want. they need to stop trying to sell what is to the masses. Disney owns fox now, if they want predators to be a avenger type thing, they should just add predators to the next avenger movie. At this point... I'd be ok with it, it can't be worse than predator.

I don’t think there’s a director alive that could capture that comic book effectively. The original AVP series is what got me into comics when I was a kid and I’m perfectly fine keeping that deep in nostalgia rather then my favorite AVP story being butchered by a garbage director.
