Thanks Ron! It works great! I can scrub in full uhd and it's smooth. I exported this video I think it's 26 mins long in under 6 minutes. Laptop would have taken 45-50 mins Very happy with it. Gyroflow exports very fast also.

You have good taste . I got the Aurora R16 about 8 months ago but its the I7 model. I got the AW510k keyboard also with both lunar light and Dark side of Moon models . I sometimes change them out for my desktop setup. I remeber the day I ordered the Aurora R16 , slid on over to Newegg and ordered Some Tforce RGB ram and another NVME SSD. It all managed to arrive at the same time . Of course Alienware Command Center cannot control the RGB of the ram,but I found that Asus Armory Crate can control the RGB for the Ram, SO whatever color I set for the Aurora R16 ,i go into Armory Crate to set a matching color on the Ram.

Appreciate the info on the Ram! I love this thing, def a beast. I am having an issue with the RGB on the cause and keyboard. The Alienware Command Center isnt recognizing them. And the mouse doesn't light up on its own anymore. Just the alien head on the mouse. When I pull up the AWCC there's only the pc no option for the mouse or keyboard.

I just bought the R16 4090. Just like you, it’s my first PC since the 90’s. I’ve been playing PlayStation since the PS1. I’m wondering, how easy is the setup for graphics and all that to max out everything for gaming? I’m a noob at this.

It's a beast! I exported this video (a 4k vid) in under 6 min. My old laptop would have taken close to an hr. Very smooth scrubbing on the editing timeline. No stutters. Love it 👍, ❤

I got my first Alienware back in 2004 and it was the year before Dell bought them. It was an ok PC and that being said there was something wrong with the GPU. Every time I tried to update the Nvidia driver's games no longer played for more than a few seconds. The way around this was to get an 8800GT and the PC worked great for 2 years and then I built a new PC myself and that one lasted 10 years. I still have that Alienware GPU (aka EVGA) 7800GTX original GPU displayed on my desk for the worst GPU ever made.

Alienware has def come a long way. their thermals are much better. This was my very first desktop, so I didn't wanna dive into building one before I learned all I can. I will build one at some point. This one works great for now. 🤘

Imo yess! It's fast, quiet. I don't tmdo a whole lot of gaming m, primarily video editing and it's smooth. I can scrub in full HD no issues. Exports lightning fast and is overall very fast to use. Looks kool too. Has just the right amount of rgb imo.
