How To Make A Character For Cut Out Animation In Blender 2.79

This tutorial shows How To Make A Character For Cut Out Animation In Blender 2.79.
If you have the ability to draw or have a drawing you can make a character out of that drawing that is fully rigged. This will allow you animate that character without having to resort to traditional frame by frame animation.
This tutorial teaches how to :
Prepare a drawn character to be textured in Blender using Gimp
Texture the character in Blender
Rig the character with with features like inverse kinematics as copy locations
How to use drivers to animate face animations like a blink and a smile
How to setup an idle animation
How to set up cloth physics for the areas of cloth of the drawn character.
How to setup soft body physics for the hair of the drawn character.
Explanation is also given on why an action is being done at the time.
Keyboard shortcuts are spoken aloud as they are selected along with being displayed on the screen.

I am on Blender 2.91. Following your tutorial with some challenges, I am now stuck at 1:40:06. In the texture panel, after I select the name of my character and see it in the black preview area...I don't see the my image show on the stage with the white outline around like yours...it's all white. Plus when I go over to the material panel I don't see a check box for "transparency". This is so frustrating...I'd like to complete your tutorial...It has great stuff.

Thanks for watching this video. You have to set up the display tab by in the user preferences. Go to add on put a check mark in the "3d View: 3D Navigation. I hope this helps.

Alimayo i found a solution how to turn the chrakter 360 degrees you have to draw the char from behind but still hard you need both legs and hands
