One of the mistakes tourists do, is that during summertime they arewalking around during midday. My advice is this: walk around untill 12.00. From 12.00 to 17.00 in the afternoon have lunch, a little siesta and/or coffee, in the shade. After 17.00 start walking the streets again.

@Stella Aster So what? What is to stress about it? Of course there are better and worse areas in Athens like in all big cities of the world but its "better" ones are a lot more than the ones you mentioned, actually this video itself is to its most part NOT taken in the areas you consider as 'the only good'. In any case Athens, compared with other cities is an overall most dignified one in the sense that its worst areas are a lot more decent that the respective ones in any other. And that brings us to your "big immigrant ghetto" bulshit! Where have you seen a "ghetto" in Athens? Go to Paris or New York to find out what a ghetto is like and then tell me about it. So, give me a break and hold your mouth when to say something about things you have no idea about!

If travel vlogs shot in Texas are to be believed, most roads in Greece are similar to Texas'. Even in Athens or the capitals of the other prefectures, depending on the suburb, it's either proper roadwork or potholes galore. In towns and villages, it can range from acceptable to WRC special route disguised as everyday road. There's also the occasional sheep or goat shepherd crossing the road with his flock if you drive through a rural area.

Hello, Alina, I'm new to your channel! The place where you got a bit lost and the train station around 9:00 is a suburb called "Moschato". It's where I live actually, it is a very peaceful suburb, and one of the few in Athens that still keeps some traditional small flat houses and simple way of living, instead of tall apartments of a typical city. Glad you came by our neighbourhood, even by accident! Also, since you are visiting the Greek islands, my advice would be to make sure you visit some of the not-so-famous islands like "Ikaria" in the eastern Aegean, where the locals are known for their long life-expectancy, due to clean air, good quality food, walking instead of cars, traditional way of living, and most importantly, lack of stress and anxiety of the every day life. Of course, there are sooo many more islands to see, but you would need a life-time to visit everything. I'm a Greek and I've not even visited 5% of all Greek islands! Enjoy your stay :)
