Inspired by your use of scraps I converted a jumpsuit with a tight bodice into trousers, and used the original collar and breast pocket to add to a raglan sleeved top (using two of the colours from the fabric) and binding the hem and sleeves with the original fabric. I love it and the top also looks good with jeans shorts and jeans as the main body is a denim blue. Thanks for all your creative ideas!

Oh yes, and it also gives a great opportunity for more shaping! I find that I like princess seams from the shoulder a bit better than the armhole ones, I also have a neckline princess seam on my experiment list, so hopefully I can get to it, not sure if it is going to look great on me style wise, but I won't know until I try, right? :) so glad you liked this top!

As an artist and more recently a home sewist, I've been pondering the idea of stamping, stencilling or hand painting some fabrics for my garments so this video is very inspiring because your top is unique and gorgeous. I am so happy! Go for it - it is a lot of great fun to combine visual arts and sewing. I do a lot of it, most stay behind the scenes, just because it can be a very extensive timeline from painting/dyeing/stenciling to the actual creation of the garment and then of course turning it into a video, sometimes I just experiment on a scrap piece of fabric and then months down the road do something with it. As we speak I have a few bottles of Solarfast in the cabinet that are just begging to be used, you might find it quite intriguing and interesting to use on fabric :)
