Why are there no hydrofoil superyachts? They would be able to eliminate seasickness. Especially if the foils are telescopic and can raise the boat higher in rough seas.

Because they're high maintenance and pretty complicated to pilot. They're much more suited to ferry routes where there's facilities to service them in quick turnaround times at either end.

The Russians have much experience of hydrofoils so I expect the first to come from them, they like innovation whereas western boat builders prefer tradition.

Not good idea to use all the wings under water all the time. After the ship got rised onto the wings it will require extremelly big power to achieve a bit bigger speed. At this moment you are to decrease the wing's area to drastically save the power and the fuel and to get big speed! In this design, to increase the speed (2 times) you have to increase power in cube (8 times). But if you'd have made the wings decreasing their area under water while the ship accelerates, then the ship speed would have doubled upon power doubled! It is why usually wings are made going out of water while the ship is on wings and accelerating. And our Russian heavy strategic supersonic bomber TU-160 folds its wings when accelerating. Well, this requires smart, keen mind to design such a wingled system ;) (italian machine-translation will disfigure the meaning)

domanda - l'aliscafo viaggia con i marosi? praticamente l'aliscafo agisce come l'aereo, nell'uno l'acqua nell'altro l'aria che passa sotto le ali permette il sollevamento del mezzo, ingegnoso.

Veramente non è proprio così. Il sistema di sollevamento è molto più complesso. Entrano in gioco i profili alari e la velocità dei flussi dell'acqua sul dorso e sul ventre dell'ala
