Thanks for posting these videos, they are so cool. Don't forget that not too many people looked very good in '91...we were still recovering from the 80's!! ;-)

pure emotion... I don't think there's anyone out there that get's anywhere near to Alison's natural vocal ability. She has everything: talent, taste, range, emotion, grace. I've been listening to her since her first album when she was only 16, and I love the way the rest of the world is only just starting to notice this musical treasure... what a treat for the unexpecting listener ! thanks for uploading, her voice back then was truly beautiful...

What a gem of a video, Alison can't be more than barely a teen. What a beautiful thing.

This tape will become famous one day! Alison Krauss at her early days. You could already hear the quality that was to fascinate millions of fans in later years. Thanks for posting! Daniel

Wow, I had no idea they did this song back then! She had a much heavier accent back then - it's so cute!

Wow. I really appreciate this. She was so good even then - rougher, yet true and authentic. It is so interesting to see this now.

Aw I love this song so much...seems strange hearing this one as it sounds quite a bit different compared to the one on the dvd. Cheers for uploading it, it's good to see some old school Krauss lol.

Alison just really doesn't care much about her appearance. Only now that she's really famous she has to gussy up now and then, but she still wears overalls and no makeup whenever she's not on stage. She's got natural beauty without vanity, and more power to her for that.

Everybody in the whole world has an accent.

Portly? I hardly think so. She looks beautiful to me. Her voice is perhaps a little more raw but is still excellent.

Written by Mike Settle of the First Edition with Kenny Rogers. Great tune.

I loved this! And Alison is a very beautiful woman, even if she doesn't look so great here.

She is beautiful. But compared to the present, she was heavier then. I'm not saying that's bad, just the way it was. Personally, I think that as she ages she's even prettier.

Awesome- I didn't realize how far back this chart went with the band. For me, this really is the definitive arrangement; the other versions were way too bouncy and peppy for the wistful ache of the lyrics. This rendition is v. good, but a little restrained- I prefer her more openly emotional delivery on the Live concert CD, esp. at the bridge, where she just pours it on, and then eases it back with sad longing at "I'd come runnin' back to you." Crumples me up like a cheap suit.

dang they're young. I would love to see her and the group redo this professionally. beautiful song and they do a great job but the really coarse, unprofessional recording that this is doesn't do it justice, of course.

Wow, Alison was the original Ugly Betty. Great to see she turned into the beautiful swan. And her voice is so much richer now.
