Cline made her Carnegie Hall debut with The Opry on November 29, 1961 and was quite a sensation with the audience, so much so that she had several standing ovations. When Dorothy Kilgallen called them "hicks from the sticks" Patsy shot back "If I ever meet that wicked witch of the east, I'll let her know just how PROUD I am to be a hick from the sticks!"

I love Patsy, and I love Alison Kraus, this an amazing song, but it’s NOT a country song, it’s a du wap song. I like Allison’s pure rendition, but I’ve argued with lots of people that this was the cross over song for patsy, that led to sweet dreams.
