Absolutely beautiful, Alison reached No.4 in the UK chart in December 1987 and that is the same position that Ketty Lester got to in May 1962 with her original. Elvis Presley took an excellent version of that song to No.6 in the UK in August 1966.

I can remember listening to this and wishing I could sing like her. Seen a lot of comments saying she was ‘so underrated’. I beg to differ, her songs stuck with me a lot more than the likes of Madonna etc, simply because Alison Moyet has WAYYY more to offer
