Man, I wish I had actively looked for this kinda talk/video before I entered Uni or even before deciding to go for EE. I just happened to pick it and ended up not hating it lmaooo. But there are so many things that could have made my journey in EE way more efficient and better if I had proactively looked for this kinda video!!! I ve been 2 years into EE and lately thought about career plans and what I wanna do, things like that. It s better late than never. I wish I had thought thoroughly about those things like what were described in your videos. I ll be doing my final 8 months of co-op in post-silicon validation in a few weeks!! and I will definitely talk to my seniors more about their skill sets and how to improve them, and what does it take to become good at analog electronics in general!! Thanks man!!!

🔥🔥🔥 great talk Ali yesterday I had a breakdown lol "I'm not smart enough I'm not this and that" then I went back and saw some of your mindset videos and they've been a great help In terms of your talk I like the part when you said to make a plan, but, that's on a macro level which, what do you do day to day on the micro level in pursuit of your goals? ive been stuck for years now, I want to be an engineer and make cool projects and stuff but on a day to day basis, I dont know how to orient myself if that makes sense so i just default into random bits of efforts here and there, spinning my wheels. the problem is that there are infinite amount of things I could potentially do it's hard to know what to do Also how's boston lol I see you're already exploring the wilderness what happened to the spaceX internship?
@alithedazzling
@alithedazzling 2 жыл бұрын
Hey man thanks for the comment as always haha great to hear from you! SO happy to hear the mindset videos help when you need them. I sometimes struggle with the micro too, and the reason is always the same. High noise levels which drown out any clarity you have. Unfortunately with social media and notifications things are much harder -- but you essentially have to get good at taking first steps once you have clarity over specific actions. I want to make a video on this I just got settled in so I'll start making more videos, this is likely a common problem amongst students. I made it past through 2 rounds of remote interviews, I have the final on-site interview this Friday; I will flying to LA, let's see.

Im recently started in a new company as a working student. I’m currently doing like these really easy/boring task which aren’t development/research tasks. Do you have any tips to convince your boss/coworkers to get „real task“ or is it normal to get these boring tasks in the beginning?
@alithedazzling
@alithedazzling 2 жыл бұрын
I would say do these easier tasks very quickly and efficiently, and once you're done, as you deliver them, ask if they have something more challenging for you to work on. It is normal but don't just accept it, it's worth a shot

You may consider EE to be the best major, but people who prepare themselves to the point of being able to attain an EE degree are few and far between. It requires mastery of a lot of pretty sophisticated math, as well as an understanding that practical solutions are tradeoffs that are made with respect to desired goals and costs, not emotional desires or feelings. People like this in today's woke generation are as rare as hen's teeth.
@BiancaAguglia
@BiancaAguglia 10 ай бұрын
Imagine that an alien civilization concerned with how few of their young individuals are interested in STEM hires you as a consultant to help fix the problem. My bet is that you'll come up with several potential solutions. When we take ourselves out of the problem, it's much easier to think clearly and come up with reasonable action plans. All is not lost when it comes to how poor our education system is right now. Discouraging? Yes. Hopeless? No. ❤
