It’d make you sound like an edge lord, “oh how did you get that scar?” “It’s from my autopsy!” it’d make you sound like you’re about to say “it’s from when I got into a fight, and I was declared dead, of course, I absolutely pummelled the guy, but he knocked me out in the end hard enough to be declared dead”

@ProstateMassagerConnoisseur6 жыл бұрын
I think House just used mints as an example without actually using mints. He could've said sugar pills or something else to indicate that he wasn't really giving him real medicine. However, in real life, doctors don't give you sugar pills or some sort of placebo pill. If you are prescribed X drug, then you are getting X drug. The only time placebo pills are used are during a case study, where the volunteers are informed that the medication/drug they receive may or may not be a placebo.

The eyes should've been a dead give away, they're still clear, a dead persons eyes are white and milky due to fluid within the organ going stagnant. The patient also has plump skin around his face and torso and a healthy complexion whilst a corpses skin is sunken, sallow and yellowed.

How odd, this actually happened to me as well.... kind of. I had been doing some "extreme" sports for a few years and I started to notice I was having a hard time catching my breath doing high level cardio. I went to the doctor and he ran nearly every single test he could think of on me. All negative. 9 months later my toes go numb while in the shower. Then slowly crawls up to my stomach and within 10 minutes I was paralysed from the belly button down. I was rushed to the hospital to have emergency surgery. My aorta had dissected in two places(near the heart in the stomach). Most people die from this. I had a 9 hour surgery to save my life. Doctors actually never figured out what had happened. They all guessed Marfans but I have been tested for it at least 10 different times in my life and have always tested negative. I obviously didn't die but they never could pinpoint what happened. Same thing John Ritter died from as well as Alan Thicke, I think.

It turned out the males on his father's side have a rare disorder that causes growths in the brain. As the growth pressed on various nerve clusters, different areas of the body would feel pain or lose muscle control. Eventually it would paralyze them altogether, making the heartbeat very slow & difficult to detect. At that point, the patient appeared dead. The scary part is that his father, grandfather, etc. might have been buried alive because of it - this guy & his son were able to have the growths surgically removed.
