That is crazy how mid 2017 cody was 11-0 and just beat the 135 goat and sterling was 14-2. Then at the end of the year cody was koes by tj and sterling was koed by marlon. 6 years later cody is 2-4 being koed 3 times and sterling is 9-0. You can never truly judge how great a fighter will be

Just so people know, Deiveson Figueiredo won the belt vs Joseph Benavidez on the 18th of July 2020, then fought Alex Perez on the 21st of November 2020 (4 months later) and then had his draw with Brandon Moreno on the 12th of December 2020 (3 WEEKS later) He also has a very hard weight cut to get to 125 given he missed weight on his fist title fight and is now moving up to 135. They talked about Aljo fighting again in 3 months being unprecedented and so special given his weight cut when Figueiredo fought 2 title fights as the champion, making 125 which is at least as hard as it is for aljo to make 135, and did it inside of 4 weeks total... Would still be impressive for Aljo to fight again in August compared to other champs but to treat it as some kind of record is silly.

Aljo is the Bantanweight "Bite Me" aka Best In The Modern Era aka #BITME. Can't say GOAT until all the time is over. Yall hatas? Keep hatin. The sound of your hate is great to me, so it's gotta be rocket fuel+hilarity for Aljo.
