These are lots of things we're facing in Nigeria and we're even smiling. Blackout are just normal, yearly fuel crisis if not recently that's it's gone but still coming back but even if comes we're used to it. Or currency crisis, we just wake up to meet latest price first in the morning
@uchenna1272 жыл бұрын
Nigeria is no way near economic collapse, like Lebanon. The poverty rate in Lebanon is at 80%, in just 2 years. You can't even imagine what that's like. The Nigerian currency fluctuates at a couple of percentile per year. Food prices increase, but you can still buy it, that's why you have enough energy to write on your computer. When it comes to power, Nigeria has been surviving off generators for years, the Lebanon currency is so bad, they can't even afford to buy them. So let's keep ourselves grounded in reality, Nigeria's issues are like every developing country, nothing unique there. Why don't need anymore Nigerians fleeing to Libya to live as a slave, because they think being a slave is better than being a Nigerian.

You have different clans opposing each other inside the Maronite community (LF/Aoun/Frangieh) or the Druze Community (Joumblatt/Hamade). So unfortunately the country suffers from sectarianism not because of its religious diversity but because of the toxic sectarian mentality of the Lebanese and the fact that they are often used to bring up other countries to fulfill their interests, like the Maronites did with France and Israel, or the Sunnis with the Palestinians and Egypt (at Nasser time), or the Shias with Iran . Therefore they worship war criminals like Joumblatt and Berri and are never ashamed to kill each other, and I say that as a Lebanese.

Unless people of Lebanon dump religion and Stand United as Lebanese and Own their own country it would be very difficult to come out of this crisis. Lebanon has become everybodies bussiness and no ones responsiblity.

You dump religion to work together. There’s a differences between being religiously guided and sectarian. They need to end their sectarian system which never works.

Also, Lebanon hosts about 1.5 million Syrian refugees. The State of Israel refuses to take in any Syrian refugees but bc they are one of the wealthiest nations in the area they should assist Lebanon financially.
