Exactly. Ironic that Biden secured the release of Cuba's own political prisoners. Many of the hardline anti-Cuban folks (and I sympathize with them) do not support removing Cuba from the terrorist-supporter nations list. In reality, releasing political prisoners does not affect Cuba's support for terrorists. There are various terrorists who are living in Cuba, right now. Cuba is a sanctuary nation for terrorists. Weird.. a communist country joined a communist group of other countries... It's almost like they've been oppressed for 70 years by Western countries, and we're doing the things they needed to do to survive... It's like if you ever go to prison, you're going to join a prison gang or be a puppet...

Well Ed, what we have observed, from the foreign policy from the outgoing Administration, is consistent economic sanctions imposed on Cuba, a continuing punishment, for no reason, other than exerting control. What is odd, if you will, we don't understand why Cuba has not made an effort in their foreign policy, to partner with all the other countries in the world, to grow their economy.....you would think, realistically, that there would have been tremendous effort to follow through on this....and Ed, Al Jazeera, Middle East, oh dear, haven't you learned yet, I'm NY Toms very British/Brazilian future wife MD, mind how you go, it does not serve you well, to tell such porkies, or follow the bullshXt of the outgoing administration...democrats are kaput, as are their lies.....4th Guardian....Tom is from NY.....big smile ( you fell for one of the most insidious, immature psy-ops, and, don't forget, it came from Biden and Blinken )

I should be able to visit Cuba as not just American Citizen but as an inhabitant of this world. May peace be upon everyone everywhere. I feel for you.
@cre8tvedge11 күн бұрын
Fun fact. The United States govt cannot block you from traveling any where in the world as a US citizen. An American activist for Cuba returned from Cuba via Mexico where he insisted his passport be stamped. US did nothing. The US does not want to be in court and find it's Cuban blockade challenged even if it's just the illegal travel ban.

Memorandum 499 from April 6, 1960 makes it clear that the intention of the blockade is to: "denying money and supplies to Cuba, to DECREASE MONETARY AND REAL WAGES, TO BRING ABOUT HUNGER, DESPERATION AND OVERTHROW OF GOVERNMENT" If the Cuban people are really so dissatisfied why would you need to cause such a condition to overthrow government? The suffering of the people is the goal of the blockade/embargo because the US still wants Cuba to be a feifdom under US corporate interested like it was since the 1800s until Castro took over.

Cuba isn’t poor because of the US, Cuba can trade with over 300 other countries and there is no embargo on US agricultural products. Cuba is poor because socialism runs out of other people’s money.
