Awesome video but one distinction worth making is the fact that Kisho, Jikka, Genji, and Shion didn't actually seek out their criminals to offer them pardons like the other samurai but were assigned their criminals. It's shown in a bonus chapter but they basically play the historical equivalent of rock paper scissors to decide which criminals they're supervising and it's pretty funny considering how things ended up for Shion to be assigned to Akaginu

Gantetsusai had arguably one of, if not the best character development in this series. Dude got on the island ready to face a strong opponent and then die making a name for himself, but at the end of the series, when facing the strongest of the Tensens, he simply ran away after doing his part, and left the rest to Gabimaru because he ain't wasting the life that was given to him at the cost of his assigned Asaemon's own life. Not only that, but he went on to become a physicist after the timeskip. To reiterate, this is a guy who tried to compete with his ally to deal the finishing blow against one of their enemies, and also a guy who cared so little for theory and stuff that he couldn't understand how Tao functions despite being explained to him. Yet that same guy, not only did he give away the chance of fighting the big boss to someone else, but he also studied medicine and went on to become a physicist. Man, Gantetsusai and Fuchi are such a great Asaemon & criminal duo.

already handled in the manga, after shugen was called in we have a few panels straight up telling us Rizen wasn't the first because he was the strongest but because he was set up to become the next head of Asaemon, also I personally believe he was the next head of Asaemon due to the fact that he acted as a mentor for the majority of the Asaemon characters we have been shown if not for all of them.

The contextual information at the beginning was very important, I liked the inclusion of basic info in the introduction. It allows an unfamiliar viewer to easily construct a mental map of the video's content / understand and organize the content in their brain. Without the preamble to contextualize the rest of the video, many viewers would have been lost. Thats only because of how tensen powers works. You need to find the balance. Gabimaru didn't do ah1t to make him go insane. He went insane cuz of tensen powes. Gabimaru still got his a$$ handled at the end when he was transforming into part plant if you didn't notice. If chobei were to fight gabi while he was in the middle of it. Ofc chobei would make gabi insane. Chobe's feat at the end sacrificing all his tao is something which gabimaru can't come close the sheer range and strength of his plants too. Thats why they are close but definitely chobei is above gabi at the end of the series.

Regardless of what actually caused chobei to go insane gabimaru still fought and endured till the end of the fight while extremely weakened, fatigued and was having trouble focusing due to his lost memories so if he was still standing by the end of the fight with chobei imagine what he could do If he was full strength chobei would be burnt in seconds

Gabimaru literally didn't know why he was there but he exactly knew that he was gabimaru the hollow. So all his techniques are still viable to him. The point is stamina goes to chibe only cuz of regenerative tensen power. That make any sense. Its like saying stamina goes to any demon in demon slayer. Regardless of it gabimarunwas stronger since he didn't have to live . He was using ascetic blaze to unalive himself and chobei but at the end if mei did stop gabimaru's tao would have been gone too regardless of how he uses his tao. Tao storage is the same.

Even mei said chobei's tao was too much. Your arguement can be used against you too. If chobei didn't go insane he would have killed gabi. End of the manga chobei and him destroying all the tandems across horai is a feat gabimaru will never produce. Nurugai also is not even evil, villain, or a criminal (just convicted because the shogunate does not want anyone not under their power/influence) and by her flashbacks, they are living peacefully. So I would not mind even if she is in the last. Like Tenza said, she is the most deserving of the pardon because she is innocent.

I’ve always known of it of course but I thought the designs were weird getting into it so late in the game was a daunting task to do and get caught up in the anime( haven’t read thru the manga but been keeping up w it since during the raid) and idk was just skeptical about it….. but after watching alot of vids bc I’d just need vids to play on my hour n a half rid to and home from work I eventually wanted to get into it…… and know of course it’s one of my favorites love it a fantastic story and characters, wish I could’ve been along for the ride alot earlier. Idk didn’t amnesia gabi fight evenly with chobie after him recieving flower tao. Gabi also nearly used all his tao and was borderline exhausted as he said when he fought shiji. He seems to have more stamina than chobei as well.

pretty sure Chobei and Gabimaru should tie in all of the physical stats except speed, which Gabi would be way faster than. You also need to remember Chobei has steel Tao, which is actively weakened by Gabimaru's fire Tao, meaning all it takes is one good hit to the Tanden for Gabi to one shot Chobei, while Chobei has no option to one shot, as its shown in one of the last chapters that the plant/human hybrids can regrow even their head
