I really love how Maki developed throughout the story from not being able to do anything against the special grade curse in the exchange event and against jogo in shibuya to becoming the embodiment of strength and willpower, can’t wait to see her and Okkotsu pushed to their limits

@@Jaafar_Alkhalifa she definitely developed. Her mindset changes have been shown throughout the manga. She starts off the series as someone who is completely shut off due to her sheer determination to prove the Zenin clan wrong, and as she meets Yuta, then Itadori, and as she realizes how powerless she herself is against the strongest beings, she is able to free her mind more and more. Mai’s sacrifice breaks the curse of being a twin that was placed on Maki, and it caused her to be able to fully utilize her Heavenly Restriction. The culmination of her full freedom is shown in the most recent chapters, I won’t spoil if you haven’t read them (even though it was slightly shown in the video). She is one of the characters who actually develops naturally in the series in my opinion, some others feel forced but hers is natural and satisfying.

She didn't grow at all from it. Infact, her spiteful act of killing the clan is counterintuitive. Also, narratively speaking what exactly is she breaking free from? What does this have to do with her original goal of proving the clan wrong and become their leader?

I fully agree, it hasn't been anything near character development, it was just stupid power up out of thin air, it would be something if we were told about "twin curse" back in the beginning and Maki somehow getting through everything with that curse back on her mind, but it came out of nowhere and i don't like that part of JJK at all, in fact it's probably the only storyline i do hate in this series

Toge belongs higher on the list. His cursed speech is actually very strong, but because his most famous battle was against Hanami (who is wildly strong even for a special grade) his got severely injured giving less dramatic commands.

Panda is just well balanced and vercitile, if he was actually better than his siblings overall, why would he ever use the others? The chapter where he loses his siblings also implies that he relies on his siblings a great amount when he's in a pinch.

So, anyone ranked here should be able to be able to beat people with a higher number than them But JJK Grades in universe measure the type of curses they can beat consistently. They grade curses, and then send a sorcerer of the same rank to fight them, since a sorcerer of that rank should be able to take them out 100% of the time. With Inumaki, he's grade 1, and as per what we've seen, it checks out. He absolutely is a grade 1 sorcerer, capable of in a business standpoint, dealing with grade 1 spirits. But that's about it. His technique is good at exorcism, really good. But in terms of fighting people on equal or higher levels? Not really

@@stillkountin There’s pretty much a theory that Maki will be killed by Sukuna in a fight. Maki has learned that she’s invulnerable in a domain because she’s seen as a building or an object. But, Sukuna’s cleave ability in his domain exclusively targets inanimate objects such as buildings or in this case, Maki. So if they have an encounter, Sukuna will kill her because of the domain’s sure hit effect stacked with his cleave ability. I really hope this isn’t how it turns out though because I really like Maki as a character.

I actually have a theory about how Yuta’s copy ability works. It’s hinted that Sukuna was at one point a cannibal, and we’ve seen him use cursed techniques that aren’t cleave or dismantle, so I wonder if *anybody* can copy a cursed technique by consuming part of another person? Yuta is able to use other cursed techniques because Rika consumed part of another person, which is why he’s only able to use the copied techniques when she’s summoned. This would also explain why Gojo said that Yuji will eventually be able to use Sukuna’s techniques, since Yuji has consumed a part of Sukuna. Just a little speculation, but I think it’s interesting to think about

I'm not sure where Kenjaku stated that yuta can copy without condition, but the main point of the whole yuta Kenjaku battle is that kenjaku underastimates yuta so I doubt that the higher ups knew more than us because Kenjaku only knows as much as the higher ups did. The whole specifics for the special grade status needs to be explained better because the higher ups didn't knew yukis cursed technique an regardless ranked her as Special grade. So I think the higher ups gave the special grade status to people who have a very high amount of cursed energy, who can do reversed ct and maybe some more lose specifics which can change. Yuki seems to have additional high knowledge of the world so that maby was a factor (or that she is an ex star plasma candidate). The guy who made panda also was registered special grade in the end but since the higher ups wanted his knowledge I'm pretty sure that this wasn't his CT but cursed manipulation which others could learn. So they registered him because of that and not because he is stronger than other grade 1 socerer.

People tend to think that yuta gets "powered up" whenever he summons rika. But honestly, if you think about it, yuta was the one who unconsciously placed the curse on rika to begin with. So strictly speaking, rika (the vengeful spirit) is actually a part of yuta's cursed technique. So yuta is technically much more powerful than most think.

My opinion, Inumaki is above Momo and Hakari is above Maki. Inumaki has been shown to be very athletic and could beat Momo pretty easily physically. Momo would also have to constantly hold back to make sure she is protecting her brain from curse speech. Hakari has been shown to be able to handle opponents significantly physically stronger than him when he fought Kashimo. Kashimo was even more difficult because his electric cursed energy, which still caused damage even if you blocked it, making it unblockable. Maki may be stronger, but has no ability as good as Kashimo’s unblockable attacks. It would be way easier for Hakari to defend with his rough cursed energy against someone he can block against and then just win after spamming domain expansion like he did with Kashimo.

I'm surprised that the "Megumi's Domain can turn him into a Shadow Logia" misconception is still alive. It simply lets him create clones of himself from the shadows. That one time he seemingly melted vs Finger Bearer #2, was because it was a clone the spirit killed.

@@Euthafro it is called an innate domain. When you expand a domain, you materialize the innate domain inside you and spread it outside into a separated barrier, a separated dimension literally. When Megumi stores thing in his shadow, he stores it in his innate domain and have to carry the weigh of it too. His curse technique connects the shadow to his domain, open the shadow dimension literally. Not sure about him materialize into a shadow though.

Charles and Kashimo have CE, and because of Hakari's fastest sure-hit domain factor, the roll will start regardless. But after Sakurajima's arc, we know that anyone who hasn't any CE can't be targeted by sure-hit factor, thus ignoring the domain's property. In case of Hakari, he needs to sure-hit his opponent by infodump or else the roll will not started.

I would only place Inumaki over Momo and Mechamaru over Kirara because Momo & Kirara have unique abilities that are great for support in various ways, we haven't seen much of their destructive capabilities. On the other hand, we have seen more from Inumaki in terms of fighting prowess which makes me believe he could beat Momo in a fight, who doesn't have many strong attacks to counter with. Additionally, we have seen many feats from Mechamaru of both his destructive power and also his immense battle iq. The only thing that might stop Mechamaru from beating Kirara is his confusing cursed ability, however, I doubt Mechamaru's extreme intelligence couldn't figure Kirara's technique, similar to how Fushiguro figured it out.

@@justawildgengar I'm pretty sure he'll die after becoming the strongest sorcerer, the way the story is going. Might be a case of retaking control of his body or even fighting Sukuna 1 on 1 and dying in the process. Eitherways, if Yuji does inherit Sukuna's abilities as he is supposed to, there's not really an argument that could be made against anyone being any more powerful, not even Gojo or Megumi considering Yuji was entirely superhuman before even having any cursed energy, and without any heavenly restrictions. A mini Toji with the abilities of Sukuna essentially. And imo, thats fine considering he'll only reach it temporarily. Ironically enough, I really dont like Demon Slayer, but the direction of the story and the end of the manga are somewhat similar, and I wouldnt be mad if we get a similar ending.

@@Bladings sukuna is just using yuji as his vessel. why would yuji inherits sukuna's abilities? also yuji most probably will die soon because in order to unseal gojo from the prison realm, yuji must be sacrificed because the only person that could help unseal gojo wants sukuna to die and the only way to do so is by killing off sukuna's vessel as well, which is yuji.

@@will-kk5gu Because Gojo literally said Yuji would inhereit Sukuna's abilities in like the first 10 chapters. Sukuna's curse energy is being imprinted on Yuji's body. Second, Yuji already died and came right back, its not exactly simple to kill him. Plus, they want SUKUNA dead, not Yuji, not even mentionning he is quite literally the protagonist. He's not dying before the end of the manga.

honestly i loved Hakari and his technique instantly. just the idea that you can perpetually make yourself invincible and go all out physically sounds so fun and obviously strong as hell. especially since he can heal subconciously, meaning he doesn't even have to think or worry about anything. mixed with his jagged cursed energy and he becomes such a menace

I really like the matchup of hakari vs toji and maki (infinite curse energy vs zero curse energy) it would be tough for both but i still think hakari could take the fight if he plays it smart but i will say that if maki and toji can go full out from the start they can kill hakari before he can fully get a jackpot.

I agree with the ranking of this list. However, I'll disagree with your statement on Yuta being able to copy on the condition that he'd have to consume some part of a person's body or fluids. Probably for Rika, sure. But I think he can copy techniques without any conditions. He never needed to consume any part of Toge and Dhruv to use their techniques.

Toge was literally doing solo missions by himself for awhile before the current storyline. He literally has had more feats on his resume than Panda (has only won one fight throughout the series which was against a puppet),and Momo (no experience in battle). He should've been a least higher than those 2.

Inumaki definitely deserves to be much higher on this list. Him taking as a semi first grade source was absolutely no fluke. Cursed speech is an extremely powerful technique which allowed him to blast away Hanami, a powerful cursed spirit even amongst the the special grades. Considering not many of the other students have a way to counter cursed speech, I definitely see him beating a good few of the students above him in this list.

Every single sorcerer has a way to counter cursed speech. It is one of the easiest things for a sorcerer to do. CE blocks the ear. This is why Inunaki is low ranked. Cursed Speech is only good against Curses. It's horrible for sorcerer fights.

Toge was the only one that was able to damage Hanami when he was chasing him alongside Fushiguro and Kamo… if it’s working on Hanami (considering how much stronger Hanami was than every student present at the event) it’s working(and not just a weak command like blast away) on Mechamaru, Kamo, Momo, Nobara and Panda (considering that Hanami has a lot more cursed energy than these guys… it’ll take a lot less strain on Toge to issue more devastating commands on them than on Hanami)

That Nita guy, I feel that his ability could MAYBE be used in a way where he can block attacks simply by making any wounds he takes from oncoming attacks not get any worse. Like imagine the instant you have a knife start to cut your skin, it simply stops at a paper cut, and the knife cannot progress. You know what's funny is how in the story Yuji is always compared to Maki but now Maki is on a different level. During the fight with Sukuna, Maki was the only thing he was focusing on. In the manga, you could see him always looking at her and never at Yuji. When utahime frost them Sukuna said it was a wise to focus your ice more on Maki than Yuji. It just shows how little worry he has when fighting Yuji for the second time.

Well for those who say Hakari is stronger than yuta, consider this first. Yuta said “Hakari would be stronger when on a roll” this means only when Hakari manages to get a jackpot enough times he could beat yuta, this is a probability case in which we know that it won’t happen 100% of the times. Meaning that if Hakari manage to get a strike of luck long enough to beat yuta only and only then he might, otherwise he won’t. So out of 5 times they fight yuta would win 4 of those. Second yuta has a self imposed restriction and that is because of his kind nature. Even Ryu said it himself yuta lack the selfishness that Sukuna has for him to be able to reach the heights of his potencial. So basically yuta holds himself down way to much and that is also related to the pseudo rika and why it only last for five minutes. He is not like Sukuna or even Gojo, he doesn’t have that self confidence. And third we still don’t know the full extent of his abilities , like his Domain expansion and even his mimicry, and how many techniques can he access to, we do know that he might even be able to copy Sukuna’s technique and why not even Hakari’s and Gojo’s.
