I’ve seen people hating on this unit( mainly because of its price), but to me there’s no denying that the unit is full of great sounds. Personally I love what I have seen and hear, it’s a winner for me.
@DerEchteBold2 жыл бұрын
Of course it's very expensive but I guess lots of those people don't know what an H9 actually costs?! Even with the drastically lowered price two of 'em are still quite a bit more expensive than this one, so this is actually a huge improvement in every respect.
@TheOligoclonalBand2 жыл бұрын
I think the H90 is very reasonably priced, all things considered. The H90 seems to replace the Eclipse, which was more than double the price of the H90 and had less features. The H90 is a bargain.

that routing on the fly... so cool. it makes such a huge difference and to do that with normal pedals requires a whole change of inputs and outputs rearrange the board etc. awesome! that alone makes me super excited to use it.

Looking at some of the comments here, you either get what Eventide is doing or you don’t. It’s the most USABLE and fantastic pedal I’ve ever used, BY FAR. As an H9 user, the H90 is even better…but I still use both.

Hello! Here from the Joyo PXL videos hoping for some help.. How would I use the trigger outputs with channel switching on my Boss Katana amp?Seems very complicated and I have no idea what I'm doing. Might need to go to an amp tech.

There are loads of standard algorithms in there... the best reverbs, delays, modulation... the pitch stuff is drastic and possibly too much for many, but there are more usable sounds than unusable ones... watch my H9 video....

At $899 we should be able to choose between Spillover or Four Algorithms at a time. Uafx does not allow this and that’s understandable but line 6 does offer this choice and at this price point it should be the users decision here too. Edit: Spillover
@indigojc2 жыл бұрын
Use it with a ES8, then you have the spillover

bruuuuh, it's not about chain effects, it's about the fkin processor in there, it's need to get powerfull to run all the algorithm

Ease of use? What do you think? I’d love to shrink the board and use this to replace most modulation pedals, analog delay but it looks quite intimidating.

Most of these patches don't sound that usable. Really how much better are the verbs and delays than something like a stomp?
@EytschPi422 жыл бұрын
I would say quite a bit better!
@Barnsielegend2 жыл бұрын
I think the same. It is a great effects unit, but not that usable in a musical sense. Most of the effects are quite exaggerated. No doubt it can be tweaked, but how many spaced out reverbs do you need?
@TheOligoclonalBand2 жыл бұрын
@@Barnsielegend You can dial in quite subtle effects very easy. I use my H9 in all sorts of different ways, from very subtle where a reverb just colors the sound a little bit in a way an EQ can't or a specific modulation to really strange effects where I intentionally make drastic sound changes.

@EytschPi422 жыл бұрын
there are loads of useful algos int here... you don't have to use the pitch and synth stuff... killer delays, reverbs and modulation... but the stock presets obviously go overboard. You can totally use it way more subtle!
@3rdStoreyChemist2 жыл бұрын
Most of these new algorithms are just classic effects with a lot of options that aren’t typically found on average stompboxes as these often oversimplify effects. In some situations it’s merely emulating artefacts of old gear, but in a more musical and controllable manner and a bit of ear candy is always just as interesting live as it at home or in the studio.

if I get this thing I won't be productive for the next 3 years from playing with the presets alone

at some point the tone of your guitar and amp get lost. I love effects when well placed but I have an H90 and it's like a candy shell over your sound. To much weird polyphonic cascading arpeggios and vocal-was type effects. In order for it to be useful im going to need to create more subtle patches.

Digitech we’re better at pitch. I think ehx had pitch nailed. Even helix was better at it. Better than the h9 which was pretty ropey. Sounds like this is an improvement.
@evenstephen20009 ай бұрын
Eventide completely blows either of those away when it comes to pitch. This is the best brand period for anything pitch-related since the 70s. It’s not even close in any way, shape, or form. Eventide makes it onto hit records.
