Unendurable frenzy is such an op Ng+ spell. With enough fp, you can stunlock and one shot all npc enemies and most midsized enemies. Plus, it takes fire buffs and can get torqued WAY up once you’ve got all your buffs.

Deathblight is only scary when 3-4 sources all put their gas in the same spot and you accidentally wander into it When the bar fills that fast you'll be checking if you have the talismans to boost your defense for it just in case it happens again lol Still doesn't make removing the buildup particularly useful unless youre impatient Also from my testin higher ranked heals dont do more damage to revenants than the base heal, so of youre using it for that just use heal and dont bother with the more expensive versions And to note, ADLS was used to onecast every single boss, including those with phase transitions

The rejection spell is extremely good for flying enemies because of its cast speed and how it drops them to the ground. I always keep it on my faith character. It's also really good for cleaning up the legs of walking mausoleums on horseback :D

I would completely swap scarlet Aeonia, and rotten butterflies. Aeonia does more direct damage, knocks 99% of enemies back, or sends them flying, and does more than enough rot build up plus hyper armor. Butterflies has as longer animation, and you can get staggered out of it way easier. Nor does it stagger enemies hardly at all.

Important note for frost, is that it only boosts physical damage. Not all damage. You gain 20% more physical damage to the target. If you're using elemental advantage for spells, the frost effect is useless. This is why the magic breath beats out ice breath in caster builds, but not melee builds.

My favorite builds in the game involve split Strength/Faith to do weapon infusions. Once I get to 54 strength if I'm 2 handing I can just dump all the rest of my levels into Faith to scale my damage higher and higher all the way to 80 Faith. With the DLC there are PLENTY of levels to do this with.

Elden Stars in the Convergence mod is absolutely CRACKED. You get a massive AOE shower of mini projectiles, and then it finishes with THE SAME blast that Elden Beat uses when you're trapped in the circle. It's absolutely insane.

nah Rejection is really good at low levels, it's a utility spell that has quite a lot of novel uses for being only 9 FP. you can stance-break enemies with it, you can level them vulnerable to have time for a charged R2 while they're in their "get up from the floor" animation, use it to trigger ambushes through walls, use it for knocking them off ledges etc. it's not a good spell for most bosses (exceptions being low-poise small ones like Phase 1 Malenia), but it's at least a C-Tier, and at lower levels i'd argue it's B-Tier or better

It would’ve been nice if the madness talisman did scaling dmg off how much madness you had built up on yourself, so you could get a dmg buff using madness spells without necessarily having to proc madness, would also make it a more interesting playstyle letting madness fall off yourself a bit to reapply it for more dmg

The thing that could fix Vyke's dragonbolt would be if the body buff allowed you to weapon swap and keep the weapon buff. That way it would be the only buff to be able to buff both hands if you powerstanced. Also if you have a wpn you can't buff you can't even use it to get the body buff. That spell is so frustrating and poorly thought out.

Ive actually been using divine bird feathers on my holy build and idk of its a gliitch but if it isnt then from tweaked the cost cast to a single number and you can hold it down indefinitely with it only taking that first piece of fp. Its actually quite good now. I clicked this video thinking it wouldve been ranked higher after its patch.

Interesting fact: the spell description for “Heal” is wrong. What it actually does is instantly stance-break Revenants. This doesn’t impact the rating very much since it remains a very niche spell, but may be useful to keep the misconceptions about what it really does in mind…

How to make law of Causality useful, make it proc off the amount of damage you take when it’s active. Several small weak mob hits (chip damage) or one heavy blow. Granted I don’t think there’s much saving this because those spell lots are worth much better spells

Scouring blackflame is top 15 for me personally as I love that you can walk around during the cast, it has a nice spread for bosses that dodge it and it comes out very fast when it’s not charged. I prefer it over flame serpent

Law of causality is non existent in NG+7 and beyond lol. Its either gonna two or three shot you if you dont avoid the heavy hit 9r one shot you if you get hit by an obvious AOE move.
