Agree it sucks when you call a place and the person your talking to know less than you do. If you sale parts at least know what your trying to sale.

I’m torn, I have spent enough time on phone calls to realize 80% want to waste 20 minutes of your time. I think a “field” person to answer phones who only needs to know basics can be a plus in many circumstances. Although, one thing I stress about, is not getting parts I paid for. I have learned names over the years of a few shops who have done this. Luckily, they have disappeared.. imo it’s 2023 things can get done w/o a call, emails + messages are more reliable as you can show what you /they said. Otherwise it’s a he said/she said.

What you said in the beginning is hugely misunderstated. I feel like stock auto performance leads people to think these transmissions will never perform very well(diehard manual guys haha) or just not last. When these things have properly built autos, and I am biased towards Goerend, they perform amazingly. Even conpared to a dual disc 6 speed, I could not go anothe route. I just feel bad for all the guys that manual swapped they're trucks.
