Awesome, I tried doing this a few years ago but didn't think to shave down the tabs....ended up just pulling the whole thing to replace that dumb band. Just rebuilt the ole 47 for the 9th or 10th time but if I lose 2nd again I'll use this method, really not even a half ass repair!

Thank you! Yeah if done with care, it's actually a relevant repair that I've seen last as long as pulling the transmission and pump and sliding one in.

I love it. I never thought about moding the band to get it in. It's not stupid if it works. And that definitely works.

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Though we are working with limited resources, we hope to improve in the near future.

Oh, there it is. Sarcasm.And thanks for helping me torture myself one more day with this auto transmission
@WHITLESS1Ай бұрын
Humm, sounds sarcastic. Even so, hopefully this helped you to fix your transmission. But if not, then hopefully it was at least good enough to give you the confidence to tear it apart beyond the point of no return. See? Helping.

@WHITLESS1 thanks much, not my first time. Wish they sold ten packs of pan gaskets and 55 gallon drums of ATF.

Yep, and I'd bet it won't be the last either. Yeah, we keep a drum full around.
