My boyfriend and I are first time Sun Conure owners, but previous non-parrot owners. He is a 5 year old that came to us from my boyfriend's uncle. Everything has been great, until recently... the bird has started to become aggressive towards me whenever my boyfriend is home and I am near him. However whenever its just the bird and I, he is sweet to me. I need help. I don't want to be scared in my own home anymore.

The same happens to my wife when I'm home. My conure bonds with me more than anyone else and they are very, very, very protective. When I'm not around and they realise I'm not going to be there in the next few hours, they are perfectly fine to find another bonding buddy for the interim. There's little you can change apart from beign careful when displaying affection to your boyfriend. Your boyfriend can also play a vital role in letting the conure know not to fight for attention (in a careful way of course, they get easily offended).
