Great review. I’ve done a few pieces on this paper myself and have been quite pleased with the results, however I noticed my watercolors are a bit dull, I imagine a few more layers might help, because this paper absolutely loves water. This paper has been a new challenge challenge for me, all in and of itself, but it’s been fun, my acrylic paints love this paper too. Beautiful art pieces. 😊

Thank you for this insight into the deckled watercolor paper. I have a pack of it and was wondering about the clip imprints on some. Nice to know they can be wetted and smoothed a bit. I do love the the very nature of the paper, that it's obviously handmade. The free floating frame system keeps that look! I have a couple of questions. Do you attach the painting to the matt in any way? Does the painting touch the glass?

The painting is up against the glass on mine and I didn't attach it, it's just sandwiched. As long as it's not in the sun it and it's completely dry, it should be fine.

I have not tried that since I like the natural effect of the painted edges. I think it would be tricky with this paper.

Do you ever seal your paintings on this paper afterwards?

In another video she said she would seal with workable fixative. If you add some media that could smudge like pastels, chalk, pencil it’s a good idea. It could transfer to another surface as in the sketchbook.
