Lucifer snapping that rope that he wrapped around that guy’s neck might be his most impressive, though subtle, feat of strength. We are talking several thousand lbs of force and he snapped it like we would snap a piece of thread hanging off a piece of clothing.

Lucifer in this show is very underpowered and stripped away of so many God-level abilities. In the comics, he’s pretty much the 2nd most powerful character in the DC universe after the Presence aka God. Lucifer can destroy universes, travel to the edge of the universe near the Source with a couple of wing flaps, create life and universes by manipulating energy, raise the dead, legit time-travel, dimensional travel, multiversal travel…etc. He’s crazy powerful so this rope snapping thing is massively understated.

It’s easier for us to judge because we’re watching both sides of the story, but Chloe only has her side. Linda didn’t handle it much better. She was a therapist and still had a hard time. First, she asked Maze to leave and didn’t want to open the door. Then she stopped seeing Lucifer and even flipped out, telling Amenadiel that she wished she had never met them. Chloe, on the other hand, is a detective, and she went to gather information about the Devil. She had no one to turn to. She didn’t know Linda already knew, and she was afraid of the Devil-worse still, she was in love with him. Chloe didn’t know how to approach the situation, but as soon as she found out Linda knew, she went to talk to her.

I think she was spooked when she found out. And then when the priest came, she considered it but then, in the end chose lucifer. It’s a decent way to bring tension, but here on out there isn’t as much angst

This is a poor translation. Every other major translation of the Bible reads something to the effect of "night creature" or "screech owl." @@houseofaction I read genesis and apocalypse. Now for the lilith part... In the Middle Ages she reappears in Jewish sources as the dreadful first wife of Adam. It's not feminist narrative but dark age. Nonetheless, knowing a theory doesn't squash another just because, having faith is not following human script. If that happens just before crisis, and Lucifer is still at the club, and there is no mention of any others at any point right up until the ending, then how come no realises that one universe actually survived all along, and was not part of the Merger Event? Is it because of divine intervention, i.e. the presence of the Angels here that gave it an immunity perhaps?

Eve is easily one of the most effortlessly likeable and interesting characters in the show. She's is genuinely an absolute sweetheart and a party girl, but I like how they show that this too can be a "toxic" trait. Keep in mind, its a fair interpretation that Eve's sin, technically the ORIGINAL sin, wasn't eating the Forbidden Fruit, but thinking that her own kindness, however genuine, overrides anything bad she does, including breaking the rules. Its a form of selfishness and self-righteusness, just not as overt. And as we will see, her relationship with Lucifer brings out the WORST in the both of them. They genuinely care and are sweet to one another, but they're also TERRIBLE for each other in the long run as their relationship is simply unsustainable. Again, its a pretty refreshing take on the "toxic ex" plot.

​@@houseofaction 1. Not really. Eve is still subject to the same laws as everyone else in the show. She can't do whatever she wants and STILL expect to go to Heaven. Lucifer and Amenadiel even point this out. Hell, they ask if the act of leaving Heaven simply to date Lucifer again might have blacklisted her.... 2. I meant unsustainable in the emotional sense. Eve and Lucifer WILL reach a breaking point....
