Your rank will be affected since this year they've taken boards into account but you'll be eligible. You might even get a CS based branch because your MET score is really high.

Tuition fees depends on your branch. Hostel fees depends on the configuration you choose. The pricing is available on the college website.

Didi from this year they have started giving 50% aggregate to boards score My board % is around 70% So do you have any idea how this time they are giving ranks Like any rough idea like how much should I degrade my rank based on MET score to be on a safer side Asking this because Manipal will assign the rank in mid June and till then maximum of the colleges which i am getting will wrap up their counseling process and will take 1 semesters fees So i was trying to get an idea that should I wait for MIT or not

I'm afraid I won't be of much help with this one because it's a completely new system which no one is familiar with. There's a band system where 70 percent isn't very high on the scale, plus hard to predict your rank without your MET score. If it's close to 150, that'll be good enough to get CS. If it's closer to 100, you should look for other options. Another point to consider, why don't you take your admission in multiple colleges? Because every university has a rule where you can withdraw your application without having any fees deducted up until a certain date. So even if you choose a college right now and pay for it in full, they should provide you the refund minus the counselling fees for until a couple of months. I know Manipal does it. So when the results are out, you can see if you're getting your preferred choice or not and then decide accordingly.

I don't think that's possible, the lateral entry is only for diploma students strictly according to the rules. The case I mentioned is a special one, which I don't think is very frequent.

It's worth it if you make it worth it, that's the only thing I have to say. Depends if you're genuinely interested in those branches. Won't recommend if you're not.

Only take it if you're ready to study CPS. Assuming you're get a branch upgrade is risky, less than 5 percent of students get an upgrade. Look for other options too.

The winter break is general a month long, mostly from mid December to mid January. The summer break lasts 2 months, from mid May to mid July.

@@nandhithachowdary757 if it's during the academic session, then yes. But they generally don't grant it, unless it through the college. If you're doing it during the summer or winter break then there's no need to ask for any kind of permission.
