I want to the UK and London for the first time. I really enjoyed my time there. Got use to saying sorry when making mistakes. Saw the Coco Curry and ate at Ippudo. London reminds me somewhat of Japan. People were very nice, especially, the Tube station employees.

Have Gotokuji on the itinerary the same day we visit Shimokitazawa. We are booked to finally go to Japan in November this year from Australia, after having our May 2020 trip cancelled. Fantastic, not long to wait till November! Shimokitazawa's a really cool place, it'll work well going there the same day as Gotokuji. Definitely send me or tag me in a pic of you with your book in Japan. I've been looking forward to them since it came out, and no one's been able to go since then!!

I'm sorry that you gotten taking out, I'm sure it wasn't anywhere fun for awhile... I do like the story about the old man, the cat, the shrine and the tree getting struck by lightening. Nice dresses and the way you were showing them off. ;) I'm glad you went somewhere else fun after that trip you were forced on... I'm still trying to get over the flu my family got from the fair two weeks ago from Saturday. Hit mom the hardest, but still seems to linger longer for others, weird. Yes I'm definitely getting straight on the Japlanning! Looking at the springtime as I can't take time off when it's busy in the run-up to Christmas. Can't wait!! Great ideas for videos, thank you!

If you’re looking for ideas, how about Takayama during the Sanno Matsuri festival? It was - until railways - isolated in the mountains of Gifu, and has developed quite a culture of its own. They have these enormous floats that they pull through the streets on the opening night of the festival (weather permitting), and some of the floats are set up with puppets - and they have processions through the streets during the day. It happens in early April. You can get out to Nagoya on the Shinkansen, and then out by train to Takayama. The old town is gorgeous - and they have their own amulet, the sarubobo!

It's good to be back! I'm definitely planning a trip!! It'll be in the spring because the end of the year's the busiest time for me with Christmas orders so I can't take time off then. Good idea to film the process as I go along!

I like the first story the best; I was hoping the third was going to end with "the woman was able to buy her cat back". Do you know when "fu" is used for two rather than ni?

That would have been nicer - no amount of money is a substitute for your beloved pet! Fu is used sometimes as a counter for two, eg when you're ordering two of something, you say "(name of thing) futatsu". One is hitotsu and two is futatsu, so the "fu" part means two.
