Cotto didn't get robbed in his fight with Mayweather, he got taken out of his game plan yet still gave Mayweather the best/closest fight of his career. That alone is proof of how amazing a boxer he is. When it comes to Mayweather you don't have to beat him to show your worth being the only boxer to land that much punishment on him is more than enough.

Cotto will definitely destroy Trout in a rematch. Cotto came back and won the Middleweight belt than got robbed by Canlo Cotto outboxed Canlo Trout caught Cotto on an off night. Trout is a very good fighter but Cotto is an all time great fighter.

Cotto is a great boxer, he lost a brawl wth Trout cus Trout is good and had height and weight advantage, also gave Mayweather the hardest fight of his carrer, no one else have made Floyd bleed and swell like that. Mayweather even looked tired and even looked silly missing shots the same way he make his opponents miss. Cotto may not be th same after the plaster but he's a true champion.

Before getting the fight Trout was just a guy who's been proving himself for some time but because of lack of fame, he never got his big match. Now that he's got a fight with Cotto, win or lose, as long as Trout gives a great performance, his career will get huge boost. Assuming of course he does not get embarrassed.

I trained with a Cuban who actually went to school with Pedro Diaz, these guys have one word written in their forehead "discipline" most methodic and convinced people in the world of boxing. I can see a huge diference in Cotto since he is with Pedro, I dont believe Austin Trout stands a chace

Well, to the last comment, there are a few things Cotto has an edge in. 1: Trout has the tendency of dropping his right hand. Cotto has learned how to keep it up. 2: Trout is taller than floyd or pacquiao, so Cotto wouldn't have to go low for a body shot(bt he might go too low..) 3: Cotto's is a bit intelligent in the ring(not pacman or floyd smart, but consistent.) Pedro's gameplan could be a proble for Trout. Now Trouts advantages are big too.. 1: his size, speed, and fight stance also help.

moved to big bear when i was 16 from LA > left being able to run 2 miles> bootcamp i could run 4.5 miles in the low terrains of oklahoma> return to big bear.. run 2.5 miles. That altitude is hard to adjust to and i think that is the premier training for the professional boxers. met mosley a few times and de la hoya. wish i coulda been home to seen cotto around my favorite boxer.

I agree, I actually thought Alvarez was going to get to Mayweather first but clearly the fight between Trout and Alvarez is just a "playoff" fight, also I think Alvarez is fighting Trout first to let the rivalry build even more between him and Mayweather. Think about it, if Trout and Alvarez battle and Alvarez wins there will much bigger hype than if Trout wins. Right now boxing is a Mexican's game and Canelo is Mexico's biggest star right now.
