Dear Mr. Rollins, I just want to give you a heartfelt thank you. This year has been very difficult for me. Struggling with depression, having my first health scare (which needless to say was terribly stressful and upsetting), and gaining a lot of weight. Your videos always make me smile and forget about my problems, even if it’s just for 15 minutes. Keep up the awesome work. I’m rooting hard for you. May God bless you and your family. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and a happy holiday season.

I used to talk like you. I was even worse! I was the poster child of blasphemy! I hated God and told anyone who talked about Him to F off. Then I had a divine appointment with Him before I took my life. If you want to gamble on your eternity it is up to you. But I learned that God is not a joke. From blasphemy 101 attitude, to I am so sorry Lord for doubting you. I have since changed my life. But there are many false converts that are hypocrites out there that claim to be christians. Trust me I deal with many in a church building. Too bad you dont live close to me. I would like to chat with you.

Had to laugh when you threw the egg shells. It reminded me of my grandparents had been camping on their vacation, grandma would throw the last of her cold coffee on the ground, well after 2 weeks they came home and the first morning back, yep she threw the coffee on the kitchen floor. I appreciate the memories.

Great video. I don't deep-fry things, but the way Kent cooks the apples is very much like the way I get them ready for apple muffins. I just use smaller pieces, unpeeled, and make a pancake batter. I add some vanilla, and I'll have to the Fireball whiskey because why not. Blessings to everyone on this day.

Mr Rollins I don't ever comment really much on any videos I watch. I actually started watching you when the pandemic first started. I watched so much my wife even bought me your cookbook that I've tried some of the recipes all of which have been very tasty! But I have a soft spot for sweets and ran across this video late last night and just made my first batch right now... Sure there have been recipes I've made that I get excited for and ones that I get happy about but man... The fritter with the adult icing... (I subbed Woodinville bourbon) nothing has ever brought a smile to my face like this dessert. Thank you!!! And thank you for feeding me and my family the past few years!

My apple peeler will peel an apple without breaking the peel any day of the week. My mother made fritters. They were like two pieces of roll dough that swelled up as she fried them. They were hollow on the inside and crispy on the outside. She would eat they with syrup. There are two recipes that I wish I had got from her - her recipient for Hoe cakes and fritters. Her hoe cake was a thick version of bannock bread. She cooked both in a cast iron frying pan. The hoe cake was like a denser pancake but had about the same coloring. I figure they were both made with Bisquick because she made everything with Bisquick. She fried the fritters in oil, probably Crisco. She fried them to a golden brown. Mother was a South Georgia girl.
