Honestly, chorus, band? We, the grunts hated and were embarrassed by this crap. Hated the macho childish cadences. Many of us just refused to participate. Nobody was in the 82nd to be in the 82nd. It was the SF waiting room.

Every one of them have their regular jobs to do, in addition to their voluntary commitment to being in this chorus. They have to have enough members in the chorus to be able to fill in when a fellow trooper has to be out in the field, or doing some kind of mandatory training, so they may not always have their very best people represented in the chorus. The mission always comes first.
