I agree everybody got a happy ending. The timing Spencer got the call was good timing. They had already had the big wedding stuff. During the NFL draft you can get the call at anytime. It was good that he was surrounded by his family and friends when he got the call.

And it's also because if it was Spelivia's wedding day, the writers more likely wouldn't write anything that would overshadow their wedding. It was just the way the writer's wrote in Spencer's good news. They literally could've wrote it for him to get the call after the wedding was basically over, not in the middle of Asher giving his speech.
